I think everyone can agree that drivers in this province just keep getting worse and worse. Bad driving habits are becoming more and more prolific seemingly on a daily basis.
So, what is the bad driving habit that just boils your blood pressure?

For me it is signaling.

When the fuck did signaling become optional?

Drivers in the passing lane on highways going at the same speed or lower than other lanes, bottlenecking traffic.

Too many to mention but here are a few.
-same as mellowjello mentioned.
-cars cutting across lanes at last minute because they missed their exit for whatever reason.
-distracted driving,phone,make-up,eating,kids etc.
-drivers who don't respect pedestrians crossing the street at an intersection.(jaywalkers that cross and take thier time are just assholes).
-people who don't know how to park between the lines.
-drunks on the road, impaired drivers in general.

When they sit on your blind side waiting for you to change lanes before speeding up.

People who drive as if they're oblivious to the other cars around them, such as those who will attempt to change lanes without signalling right as you're trying to pass them, forcing you to slam on the brakes.

This happens to me at least once a week and is one of the few times I will smash down on my car horn with the fury of jesus christ himself.

The "Look -Talker". This is the driver who, when talking to their passenger, has to turn their head to look at the passenger to talk, not watching the road. You can tell because the car will start pulling to the right, and when they turn their head straight again, they have to jerk the car to the left. Why are you looking at the passenger??? They can hear you, they are 1 foot away. You don't have to make sure they are still there..its a moving car.

Transport trucks that drive in the centre lane when the right lane is empty. Forces everyone to pass them on both left and right sides, very dangerous.

+1000 on this. More generally it is transport trucks that drive in the middle lane period. With the rolling terrain going through the GTA, it is pretty much impossible for transport trucks to maintain their speed and they are governed to 105km/h max. Since they cannot drive in the left lane (per signs for trucks over 6.5 meters), they are technically in their passing lane. Problem is they pass nobody.

Drives me bonkers.

Cheers

Great gripes everyone.
Many that I would give a ditto to.

I'll add this one.
People who drive very fast in residential neighbourhoods where there are many children out and about.
And it's often people who live in the neighbourhood who have kids of their own.

Not technically a driving habit, but I hate cars with tinted windows because I can't make eye contact with the driver (if there is one) in the other car.

========================================================================================

Bad driving habits --- drivers who drive their cars on the sidewalk, crashes into bus shelters and houses. Not nice.

People making right turns and not checking their blind spot.

I ride my bike every day and am nearly hit at least once a week.

Here is another dangerous habit. Drivers who drive really fast in parking lots. What if someone sneaks out like a kid or an old person and you hit them?

Drivers like people in Toronto in general are getting dumber and more selfish.

The other one I hate is assholes that swerve to avoid holes on the road and by doing so nearly hit you on your lane.

• Tailgating with no intention to pass (pointless risk)
• Closing the gap when someone signals their intention to enter your lane
• Failure to move over for faster traffic or "policing" the left lane
• Not understanding that a merge lane is supposed to "zipper" at the end of the lane
• Not taking responsibility for mistakes made
• Using merge lanes or shoulders as passing lanes (happens all the time in the GTA)
• Failing to signal (easier for other drivers to anticipate your boneheaded moves if you signal)
• People on a roundabout yielding to people entering. People entering a roundabout not yielding to traffic on it. Both equally dangerous.
• People who speed up after, or while, you pass them. That second one can be especially dangerous.

Sitting on the right lane, not advancing and therefore not allowing all those behind you to make a right turn where they want to.

If you're not going to turn right, stay in the left or centre lane.

Someone did that to me and I gave his car's hood a few hard knocks. Just to make it clear how close he was to me.
