Methinks this is about striking while the iron is hot. She has a million dollar mortgage, 250,000 credit line, other debt, one kid in college and another soon to be.

She can get a cushy 7 figure position, a few board seats, and some speaking gigs. Spend 4 years clearing the decks and setting up retirement.

Then come back in 2024, or 2028 when there is no incumbent and take a shot if she wants to.

Add in a book, timed to a campaign.
All that debt after 6 years as governor and 2 years as UNHC? She is a dumb cunt.

Sadly I doubt we are rid of her, I think she will replace Jeff Sessions.
Doubt that - she's not a lawyer -- a liar yes, but not a lawyer. She'll more than likely take the Senate seat of Linsay Graham who will replace Sessions as the AG

I believe the Mortgage us on a million dollar house. Not sure the amount owing.

And yes by the time you include a kid in college, travel expenses being a UN ambassador, having to dress the parts she has played, it adds up.

She will also probably be able to clear it all in 2 years and be a millionaire in cashable assets in 5.

Not as dumb as you think.

Sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. To me she is simply evil and a shameless liar..just like her boss.
And using a racist saying as well........

She does not pay travel expenses as UN ambassador, has a clothing and housing allowance. Also I think her salary is tax free reloc benefits etc etc etc. She has not had to pay for housing for 8 years...

They don't pay for her mortgage, her kids education, the regular bills, husbands travel to see her, her trips home. Her salary is not tax free. I'm doubtful on the clothes allowance etc.

The Trump ship is sinking!
She has managed to get in a lifeboat before the entire ship goes down.

I think we will see Nikki Haley again. Politics is in her blood. (She was governor of South Carolina for 8 years.) She would make a great presidential or vice-presidential candidate. Of course, she is also a woman.
She will forever be tainted for being the shameless willing mouthpiece of the worst US President in history, the deplorable Donnie Drumpf.... she's toast

This is what you wish was the case. I strongly doubt that this will have been the last position held by Ambassador Haley, in U.S. political life.

All of a sudden, Mr PC here??

It's clear that Notty didn't use the expression in that sense.
In the last few years some friends have been pointing out how some of our little metaphors have a racist origin. I've been attempting in my middle age to clean them up as I've also cleaned up other language.

But I do enjoy tweaking a few noses when they also cross that line. Considering Notty's love of Putin I'd have thought you would enjoy it.

Ah well.....

"Spade" as a vernacular term to refer to Afro-Americans was used for about 5 years in the late 60's and early 70's. I know. I was there. It was daring for a while for white high school boys like me to say the word or read it in Rolling Stone magazine. It wasn't particularly derogatory. Sort of like "homeboy" today.

The term "call a spade a spade" has likely been around since Victorian times and refers to a garden tool. Now unless you're campaigning for the rights of garden tools, you're a little off base.

She’s a massively talented politician, smart, articulate and well liked. An Indian-American woman being elected governor in South Carolina and more than holding her own on the world stage. She’s young enough to run in 2024.

Well as my politically correct friends have pointed out it was used and therefore qualifies. I choose not to argue the point with them.

Personally I didn't see it as a big deal.

She is a hell of a lot smarter than Donnie too bad for the American people she can't run sooner. Nothing wrong with most Republicans that a decent leader couldn't fix.

True, but the problem was twofold: Too many candidates running in 2016 and in part due to that the lunatics took over the asylum, but this is always a possibility when you have open party membership.

I like this scenario.

Pence bows out “for personal reasons” from the 2020 race and Haley runs as VP looking to gather more moderates and women (I think the POTUS will do fine with employed white guys). He serves the first two years after reelection and steps down making Haley POTUS for 2 years... give her a solid platform for keeping the job and making her the first female POTUS.
