I have a curious mind and I always wonder how other people think......

That being said my question is this. Do you feel if you stay in the "Hobby" too long is it only a matter of time before you catch a std/sti ? For example, if you "Hobby" 500 times over the course of 10 years, the law of averages would suggest that you will catch something at least once.

I hope to generate good, clean and intelligent conversation. It would be nice to hear the thoughts of both hobbiest and SP's/MPA's.

Did you at least vote? Added the poll to the question to help motivate people to get out and vote in the Ontario June election :canada:

Look at the bright side. We pay for the sex, but the STI is for free.

It is more like roulette, your odds are less about frequency (as it resets from one roll to the next) you could as easily pick something up from a one off with a random civilian as you could from a sex worker who has banged hundreds of guys. If the sex worker plays safe but the civilian has random unsafe encounters. Imho.

I have some bad news for you.....

1. You are probably already infected with one strain or 20 of HPV (and don't even know it).

2. Condoms offer little if any protection against herpes since the base of your cock is not protected. (Always wear a condom anyway, then as soon as expediently possible, wash your entire groin area. Can't hurt.)

3. You are in the wrong hobby.

I don't look at it that way. As far as I'm concerned, the moment you enter the hobby you're at risk, and you accept that you may catch something the very first time. Or never. You play safe from start to finish and don't worry about it.

Usually, when I go out the 'little guy' controlled the thought process. So no need to make things more complicated. The dramatic consequence from hobbying is that you would catch the disease and pass it to the SO. She ends your life afterward. LOL

Oh,forgot to add that the women are in much more danger with the profession than most hobbyists. Kudos to them to continue to satify the demand of hungry hobbyists!

Actually I've been in the hobby a little over 6 years and so far I'm in the clear. Just confirmed my test results last week and all is well :applause::high5::biggrin-new::whoo::peace::applouse::yo::thumb::eyebrows::hippie::happy::cool::hand::D:amen::cheer2::clap2::dance:

I guess I should share a bit about what prompted this poll.

A few years ago I paid a visit to one of my favorite agencies and when the girl opened the door I was all excited and couldn't wait to get all up in it.
When she closed the door and lead me to the room I noticed a nasty out break of herpes on her ass cheek. It took everything in me not to knock her the FCUK out. I was so pissed that she obviously knew she was putting others at risk.

I never posted a review about the incident and I WILL NOT mention the agency in question so don't ask.

Over the years I have also encountered mpa's who were working when they shouldn't have been. I've dodged a few bullets and I'm just hoping my luck doesn't run out any time soon cause I still have much sampling to do lol.

Play safe everyone !

Most STIs are very treatable... obviously nothing but abstinence is 100% safe but you can greatly reduce your risk.

A lot of STIs will be dormant in your system and not show symptoms. This is why it is very very important to keep up with diligent STIs testing. I go in for testing religiously once a month. A lot of stuff can be cured easily with antibiotics and/or a shot. Not pleasant, but it's better to catch early.

TIP: Go to sexual health clinics instead of regular dr clinics. They can do anonymous testing and they're more knowledgeable with this kinda stuff and sex work friendly (NO judgement). Here's a list of them: https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/health-wellness-care/health-clinics/sexual-health-clinics/

There's a lot more practical tips to avoid putting yourself at risk. One big one is, don't brush your teeth or eat sharp foods like potato chips so close to your appointment to avoid micro-tears in your mouth. Use mouthwash.

Sexual health wise, I've been a lot more safer since I started working than before. The average civilian you pick up at the bar is more likely to engage in unsafe sex practices. I'm actually quite grossed out and much more hyperaware these days at how many civilian people try to push for bareback sex.

One of the nurses at the sexual clinic told me once, "I'd be more worried about you if you had unprotected sex with one person whose HIV status was unknown, than if you had protected sex with 100 people who were HIV positive." I don't know how accurate that is, but the point stands lol.
I am happy that you made a positive contribution to this thread.

Actually HPV is not detectable by any tests within men. Best thing we can all do is get the gardasil shots.
I wonder why my gp or anyone at the Toronto clinics hasn't suggested to get the shot?

Thanks for the tip.

Gardasil is still underprescribed for males. Even when it is, it is usuallyrecommended that it be limited to boys and younger men (<25 IIRC). The idea is, that beyond this, you probably have been exposed to HPV. However it may be worth getting the vaccine anyway as you might not have been exposed to the strains of hpv that can cause cervical (and less commonly, but still important, penile, anal, throat) cancers.

I know people in this hobby for over 20 years and never caught a thing.

They then go bang a civie and bam - first STD ever.

Law of averages I don't think work for this hobby.

Does being caught by your wife get lumped in with STS/STI?

Wow how are you real. If the said SP had an STI yeah dont work, however herpes between ass cheeks is not common, you were most likely looking at a bad wax or razor burn.

HOWEVER you say that you wanted to harm a woman because you think she may have an sti. Do you realize your impact this make . And also why we screen
Sorry to disappoint but it was herpes. It was clear as day on her left butt cheek. I know what I saw.
By the way there is a big difference between wanting to harm and actually doing it.

Am I supposed to be happy that she knowingly was handing out the herpes virus?

Not a death sentence like hiv but people go to jail for knowingly infecting someone with hiv.
