Well if you're going to play that game, here's a poll from the exact same website you linked saying support for any bans is at a record low.....
And still 55% of people support more gun regulations. My statement of the majority of Americans supporting stricter regs is 100% factual.

You keep showing your ignorance.

The NRA has 5 million members. If they weren't doing what the membership wanted, they wouldn't be that large. Wake up! The NRA is composed of the people of the U.S.
OH I see. 5 million people should have their voices heard more than the other 318 million people.

I dunno what Americans would fight harder to protect though, guns or McDonalds happy meals
Sums up some problems in American culture.

I agree that change is unlikely but that won't stop me from pointing out how nutty and paranoid the NRA talking points are.

I'd side with Happy Meals.

Recent articles show soda taxes are axed because enough people protested and enough lobbyists in favour of beverage companies went tooth and nail. They want their Pepsi.

Gun nuts have the NRA to fight their battles.

The only way to really combat this is a strong anti-NRA grouping, because no matter how big the serial killing sprees are, very few gun supporters care. In fact, the more violence there, the more guns they want.

It's a weird mentality because in other countries like Australia, it's a different mindset.

You are not stating facts. You are quoting poll results. Remember? The type of reporting system that reported Clinton would win the election?

5 million people haven't made their voices heard more than 318 million people. Use your head and do the math for crying out loud. There's over 300 million guns in the U.S. If it was just NRA members who were gun owners, that would be over 60 guns per person. It's hundreds of millions of people that don't want stricter regs or just plain don't care.

You can even say 100% of Americans support stricter gun regs if you want, but court decisions tell the truth that they really don't.

Unlike hypothetical polls, Supreme Court decisions are real and binding.

If the US government ever tries to disarm American citizens, you will know what a civil war looks like.

Firearms are here to stay in the US. Sorry sheep, get over it.

I highly doubt that. There are only 300 million people in the U.S. hundreds of millions want less gun control? Most of that 300 million arent old enough to understand either way.

Why should we care? It is not the Russians that are forcing the Americans to kill each other with firearms at a high rate.

The American people have democratically decided that they want to live (and die) this way. That is fine with me, as long as I do not have to live or travel in the US.

Well put it this way, Roughly half of American households have a gun.

There are almost as many guns in America as people. It's common sense to know that, yes, the United States will probably have more gun murders than a country with almost no guns and no households with guns. I'd would also assume that Florida will have more swimming pool drowning deaths than, say, Michigan. But unlike swimming pools, guns can also be used for self-defense reasons. The reality remains that in a country of over 315 million people (and almost as many guns) very few of the guns are ever used in any crime. If the mere existence of guns made people more violent, more likely to murder, and more likely to commit crime, the gun problem in the United States would be much much worse.

Good. I was going to suggest the same thing to anyone that believes as you do. Stay out of the US and don't visit the US.

I'm waiting to see if there will be a gun grab by Trump. It wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Or at least some serious form of (gun) control. And people were worried about Obama??? LOL

I agree that anti-gun politicians and media types are doing exactly as that guy in the video describes. But there will be no gun grab under Trump. He's been explicit about his support for the 2nd amendment and that's the least of his controversial stances.

I think people should look up how many people were killed by tampered pill bottles and lawn darts. You'll find the number to be incredibly low..... yet we've seen massive sweeping changes as a result.

There is an interesting video that shows stats and suggests that US may not have more crime or suicides..... but the use of guns makes those instances more lethal/successful.

And before people label me I am okay with people owning guns. I'm just not okay with rationalizing the dangers of having a gun.
