Yup. My sister is a doctor and gets this regularly. It has only been from older generation Whites though; usually those 65 years and older.

I mentioned this a year or two ago on this board and one or two posters justified it using the arguments along the same lines as this horrid woman.

I have been to the clinic and hospital in question numerous times and have always dealt with highly professional and courteous staff and doctors. I had no issue communicating in English with the many non Caucasian staff and doctors in the clinic and hospital.

The issue with wait times was her child had already been admitted and seen by the doctor on staff
She was unhappy with result / diagnosis and demanded to see the white doctor who apparently came in later in the day (second opinion)

Another mother of the year point for the comment on she would rather wait at clinic because this way no money came out of her pocket (compared to going to hospital)

I went to a walk-in clinic 3-4 years ago and was seen by a doctor who wasn't quite brown or quite white. Later, I saw on the news he was arrested for sexually assaulted (molested?) a female patient.

I don't need my doctors to be white, but I do need them to speak unaccented or lightly accented English. Being able to understand your doctor seems crucial to maintaining good health.

I have had my GP for almost 20 years. He is asian. I couldn't care less. He is one of the best damn doctor I have ever had. I find old white doctors just don't take the time required for patient care and most certainly have no bedside manner. I would say more, but I will probably be labeled as racist.

I used to think that....until they had me see a 'resident'.

I have had a few sinus infections in my life, and know how excruciatingly painful they are. I explained to the doc I had one, and he said, "How do you know?" Explained I have had 3 or 4 and this was exactly the same symptoms.

He told me I had to wait a week - then come back to see if my symptoms changed. I asked if he would prescribe painkillers, and he said he wouldn't. I tried to explain, but apparently he knew better.

I went to management, and while I was waiting I spoke to a young woman with a service dog. She said her complaint was because the doc wouldn't let her in his office with the dog.

Guess what.....same resident. Oh, and the lead doctor agreed with me and gave me what I needed.

They used to be great, but service levels have really dropped.

I don`t know what Clint`s character was grumbling about, I thought that doc was pretty damn cute! She could give me a full exam any day! lol
