Sir Charles said he'd rather watch the NHL playoffs than the NBA's version, of course he's right.
The playoffs have been excellent but greenhouse gasses are being spewed in Calgary. Brian Birke is blasting his lips off again, he wants the same sweetheart deal Darryl Katz got in Edmonton. I admire that Calgary is resisting the urge to put the burden of a new arena on city taxpayers. Birke said they wont threaten to move, they'll just move. Typical, how long will this idiot keep milking a Stanley Cup Champion he didn't actually build?

Charles Barkley is right, The NHL Playoffs are more fun to watch than the NBA playoffs. The NBA playoffs is so predictable, we know which two teams will be in the finals again, this is three years a row with the same two teams in the finals. Golden State will probably win this year, Why is there so many all star players on the Golden State team lol.
In the NHL playoffs every team has chances to win the cup, even a 8th seeded team can win too.
Damn I missed tonight's game as I decided to spend a few hours with my favorite woman. Extremely happy the Pens offense came alive but still worried about Sunday's game although like Kathleen said, the Pens have a habit of winning the Cup on enemy ice each time. Hopefully that trend continues. Regardless who wins, Kyle is tight, the NHL playoffs is head and shoulders better that the NBA playoffs from a competitive standpoint.
Why does Sidney Crosby get away with anything ? Why did he throw the water bottle on the ice, he was mad of something and he decided to throw it on the ice. I hope crybaby Crosby lose.
Why you like a player like Sidney Crosby ? he gets away with anything, in the regular season, he shattered Marc Methot finger. he did not get any suspension over that.

I was not old enough to remember that, I was 1 years old when that happened.
Subban should have kept his big pie hole shut instead of poking the bear. After that comment by Subban, Crosby has been one of the best, if not the best, player on the ice for both teams. Crosby is a leader and is respected by many more hockey people than Subban. Yes, he should have received a penalty for throwing the water bottle onto the ice, accidently or not but he didn't. $&#% happens and many times during the game, penalties that should be called are not, especially in the playoffs. All I can say is that I hope the best team wins and for me I hope that team is Pittsburgh. Crosby is a superstar and winner while I se Subban as a very very good defenseman but lacks the qualities that Crosby has which have made him successful, just my opinion.
Funny how no games in the final have been settled in overtime.
Maybe it is just me, but the lay-off between games is silly on a couple of fronts - Keep the average fan in tune by spacing it out by a day between each game and playing hockey in June is too much. Hockey should be over in May.

Your not an owner. From an owner's perspective they want 84/86 game seasons (it was 84 games at one point, then they reduced it to 82 games, at one point it was 80 game season) for more revenue. No way they will shorten the season. First round use to be best out of 5, changed to best out of 7, again more profits in the playoffs. If your a true hockey fan you'll love more hockey and don't care if it ends in mid-June. Personally I would prefer an 80 game season.
I love hockey, the more longer it better. even I am not a Leafs fan, I am still watched them because I love hockey. Hockey is the best sport ever, i like soccer and basketball too.
I found baseball boring and a very slow sport.
Preds got robbed , The Refs helped the Pens win game 6. The officiating of this game was terrible. The first goal by the Preds should of counted , why did the ref blow the whistle quick, the puck was still active in play. This game should of gotten to overtime or to game 7

Actually, Nashville didn't score the first goal of the game. The play was dead once the whistle was blown by the referee. He thought Murray had the puck from the angle he was at. Yes he made a mistake as it turned out but technically once the whistle was blown the play was stopped. The Preds lost the game as they could not take advantage of 4 power play opportunities including a 5 on 3. The Canadian team with the best chance to win the Stanley Cup next will be Toronto, well one can dream that will happen.
Pittsburgh has won 2 Stanley Cups with a rookie goaltender and as was stated not one of their top 6 defenseman has ever received a Norris trophy vote. As predicted, offense over defense and maybe next time, Subban will not say anything to provide extra motivation to an opposing superstar on the other team. Crosby played like a guy on a mission after game 3 and Subbans comments. Crosby is a true leader and showed much class when he passed the Stanley Cup to Hainsey.
