He did look a little ticked as I stated in another thread.Mcdavids career is fucking ruined, he looked disgusted and so should he have been. This is outrageous!!:frusty:

I agree, while I didn't like what Lindros did but that was a different time in the world. The oilers organization is a disgrace, they are so poorly managed and coached its not even funny. Look at the first rounders they have had in recent years and there's no improvement.
It's not written in stone that Edmonton will pick him. There may be a deal that Oilers may make if an offer they cannot refuse (ie, Doughty, Stamkos, etc). If McDavid goes to Edmonton, I would agree that that team has so much wasted talent that management won't know what to do. They would have to trade some their young prospects for some veterens. McDavid needs a good mentor, like Crosby had Mark Recci as his mentor.
However, if the Leafs won the draft I am sure fans in Edmonton would be saying the same thing about the Leafs.
On the bright side I think we are getting a good player in Dylan Strome, the 4th pick is not too shabby in very deep draft. Also we have Nashvilles number 1 pick too, which could be number 25, should the Preds get eliminated in the first round.

It's been a bad day in Toronto sports. The Raptors lost, TFC losing 3-0, Leafs lost the lottery draft. What? The Jays won!
The Nashville Predators got the worst first round match up against the Black Hawks. Any other team and they would advance, the Hawks outstanding defense makes up for their average goaltending. Maybe a decent defenseman will be available at 25.

It is $4.5 mil. Apparently Bassin(Erie owner) was supposed to move the Otters or sell them to someone who would move the team to Hamilton, Ont.
Oilers lent Bassin $4.2 mil. When the deal did not happen Bassin failed repay the loan and Oilers filed suit for $4.2 + interest and Lawyers fees which gets the number to 4.5

I doubt it was rigged... Conspiracies can be made in any scenario.
And no problem with 4 in 6 years. It's luck. Not any team had more than a 20% chance.
However how can you not have a problem with the entire manager team. It's time for Lowe, tambelllini, and mctavish to be sent packing, and use this great opportunity to start clean.

There is no secret to making a bad team good
get young talent who ...since they were drafted 1..2..or 3 overall...already have the skill set..
it's melding them ...along with the other players into a cohesive unit...and THATS where the Oilers lacked..
wIth all that young talent..they should NOT have been in this years lottery.
