I wonder what caused this abrupt termination?
I wonder what caused this abrupt termination?
What do you mean more here?
I've never listened to him, but after listening to this, I suspect he was a free thinker and looked at things from all sides,Yeah, this quote is particularly bizarre: "Information came to our attention recently that in CBC's judgment precludes us from continuing our relationship with Jian," What the hell does that mean? Hope he is successful is suing that organization into the stone age. It's been bleeding for far too long.
What could you possibly speculate as being CBC's politics, that this broadcast would be in conflict with?I've never listened to him, but after listening to this, I suspect he was a free thinker and looked at things from all sides,
which maybe didn't coincide with CBC's politics..
I wish him well !!!
Or just maybe political pressure !! Just a thought! After all, they are funded by the Canadian government! If they are willing to terminate him before he is even charged, it must be something of a very nefarious nature.Someone in the know must have told the decision makers at the CBC,"Trust me.We have him".That could be probably only mean evidence of a hard digital nature.Irrefutable facts.I can only think of a few things that could be.
CBC Drops Radio Star Jian Ghomeshi
After what the public broadcaster called "serious deliberation and careful consideration," CBC announced Sunday that Q host Jian Ghomeshi would no longer be working for the network.
"Information came to our attention recently that in CBC's judgment precludes us from continuing our relationship with Jian," said a network spokesperson, language generally reserved for grave, reputation-tarnishing revelations.
CBC has so far refused to say what that information actually is, but rumors online suggest that the radio star's firing was related to incidents of sexual harassment.
After news of the firing broke, numerous Twitter users identified Ghomeshi as the subject of a 2013 XOJane essay about an unnamed Canadian celebrity with "creepy-ass moves" while another cited the radio star's "grabby hands."
They better have the smoking gun, a video tape of him doing the deed and a confession if you will because the lawyers are going to have a field day with the CBC. And guess who's going to be paying up if the CBC loses? If they are willing to terminate him before he is even charged, it must be something of a very nefarious nature.Someone in the know must have told the decision makers at the CBC,"Trust me.We have him".That could be probably only mean evidence of a hard digital nature.Irrefutable facts.I can only think of a few things that could be.
I never said this broadcast was in conflict with CBC, but judging from what he is stating here, I can tellWhat could you possibly speculate as being CBC's politics, that this broadcast would be in conflict with?
When you say "free thinker", I would guess you're inferring to a point of view that is outside the mainstream.
I think this point of view is pretty generic and uncontroversial.
It's safe to say this guy was not well liked.Supposedly he's about to get charged with sexual harrassment:

I reread your post and I stand corrected.I never said this broadcast was in conflict with CBC, but judging from what he is stating here, I can tell
that, hes a free thinker. Which sometimes dosen't mesh well with politics !!!
I get the girl who feels ashamed by a sexual assault incident.Who does not want to talk it........or does want to talk about it to the police.Who wants to confide to a friend or family member. Who does want to file charges.I've never gotten the girl who goes on line and writes an anonymous essay about it for "blog clicks".If this is what the termination and future charges would be based on, boy is his lawyer going to have a field day with it.....Allegedly this was written by some girl who went on a date with someone named "Keith", but its really about Ghomeshi:

Personally I agree, he always came across as a pretentious self-important douchebag. It's safe to say this guy was not well liked.
A description from the link: he reemerged several years later as a smug, douchey "I once was a STAR" kinda dude first on CBC radio & then CBC TV.
That's exactly the way I saw him.
A few pegs down from pseudo, as far as intellect goes.
After reading this http://www.xojane.com/it-happened-to-me/non-date I tend to agree !!Personally I agree, he always came across as a pretentious self-important douchebag.
On his blog, he makes it sound like he was pink-slipped for being a bit kinky and into BDSM. But if there is any merit to the CBC's actions, it would have to be more serious than that.Supposedly he's about to get charged with sexual harrassment.
