Yeah, this quote is particularly bizarre: "Information came to our attention recently that in CBC's judgment precludes us from continuing our relationship with Jian," What the hell does that mean? Hope he is successful is suing that organization into the stone age. It's been bleeding for far too long.

I've never listened to him, but after listening to this, I suspect he was a free thinker and looked at things from all sides,
which maybe didn't coincide with CBC's politics..

If they are willing to terminate him before he is even charged, it must be something of a very nefarious nature.Someone in the know must have told the decision makers at the CBC,"Trust me.We have him".That could be probably only mean evidence of a hard digital nature.Irrefutable facts.I can only think of a few things that could be.
What could you possibly speculate as being CBC's politics, that this broadcast would be in conflict with?
When you say "free thinker", I would guess you're inferring to a point of view that is outside the mainstream.
I think this point of view is pretty generic and uncontroversial.
Or just maybe political pressure !! Just a thought! After all, they are funded by the Canadian government!

They better have the smoking gun, a video tape of him doing the deed and a confession if you will because the lawyers are going to have a field day with the CBC. And guess who's going to be paying up if the CBC loses?

Personally I agree, he always came across as a pretentious self-important douchebag.
On his blog, he makes it sound like he was pink-slipped for being a bit kinky and into BDSM. But if there is any merit to the CBC's actions, it would have to be more serious than that.
