I just came across this thread, can someone please explain to me in Sesame Street English what exactly this bill means??
Thank you
here's a Q&A sheet developed by PIVOT Legal in Vancouver which we found useful in understanding what the bill means.

it will also change from region to region. here in vancouver, that's the city of vancouver proper, we have struck an agreement with police and they have agreed to honor it no matter the outcome of these legislative changes. the city has also agreed that sex industry businesses need to exist and that they will not target adult consensual sex workers or businesses.

this comes after 12 years of fighting for a seat at the table and finally forcing mainstream systems to recognize they have been duped by anti trafficking fanatics and feminazi's.
that's vancouver though...in burnaby which is a neighboring town...like scarborough .... they have RCMP not local police and they are already amping up to "combat human trafficking"...we are working on engagement with the cities around us but have very limited resources and of course...it took 12 years to get to where we are .....not sure that i have another 12 years of advocacy in me....maybe.....
anyway, i fear alot for those places where engagement with mainstream systems has not really begun and wish there was more that could be done....
we are working on challenging the process that lead to this bill but after meeting with senator jaffer we are convinced its going through and there is nothing we can do but brace for it.
remember, many of the old tactics will still help, like be discreet in ads - not to overt in what is being offered, choose discreet locations to work from - ie highrise buildings - there's lots more info here

hope this helps people, please feel free to message me with any questions or concerns.
