Proud to be a member of Ford Nation, eh ?
I actually hate the Ford Nation appelation. I'm a supporter of the message of fiscal responsibility he and some of the other councillors have tried to bring to city politics. Any politician would have done for me as long as they had tried to do the same things he has.
Ultimately if this is correct it is unfortunate that the message may be lost with the killing of the messenger.

Even the Globe and Mail is running the story now.

This is going to get good. If it's true - Ford is finished. Right here, right now, he's done.

I always said that Ford would implode, but I always assumed it would be a domestic situation that would get him.

I get around.
Anything is possible.

A well respected poster of this board claims that Ford and his brother used to deal drugs back when they were younger in the ravines behind their houses. So who knows.

I can't believe Ford would be so stupid as to allow himself to be filmed smoking crack though.
No one hates that fat fuck more than me, and even I am having a tough time believing this. Very surprised the Star would run the article even after their reporters were shown the video.

Although being a cocaine user would explain some of the times in which he appeared to be sweating and 'out of it' for no discernible reason.

Not anymore. I was willing to tolerate the small stuff, but smoking crack is unacceptable

(thats if the tape exists of course)

Ford is denying the authenticity of the video. (Pretty much what I would expect him to do.)

The cruel me would so love this to be true, now especially. If he is on video smoking crack, everything he has ever denied over the years - from the drunk at the military thing, to grabbing Sarah Thompson's ass, to the wife abuse, everything - it will all be called into doubt.

This will be a more spectacular flame-out than the Leafs.

He should submit to a drug test to clear his name. Or, if he is unable to pass a drug test, resign and check himself into rehab.
well unless it was in the last 72 hours the test will be clear. unless it was pot which crack is clearly not.

Actually, they have drug tests where they take a sample of your hair that will detect drug use up to 30 days ago (I believe it's 30 days.)

I did some work for a rather large mining company, huge in fact, and I had to give them a hair sample for just such a reason. Since I don't even drink, it wasn't a problem. But the mines take drug use very very seriously. (Not so much the Mayor of Toronto it would seem.)

yeah i have to submit for "random" drug testing every 3 months. might be why he keeps it close to shaved. i could be wrong though, looking at him trying to throw a football he looks fucked up

Lifetime.

It's like checking the age rings of a tree.
If Ford shaves his head then he's in the clear

Actually up to 6 months. But you have to have a 6 month growth of hair, of course.

Aaah, the number of times 1 of my clients has accused the other spouse - or been accused - of being a drug addict in the midst of a custody case!!!

The Star has said today that it can't substantiate the video and info, then why post it? It sounds like National inquirer trash.
I'm disappointed with the Star , use to be a good paper. By all means if there is proof bring it forward, but they do have a death wish on Ford. (thats besides if I like him or not)

The fail is strong with this post.

First of all its not lifetime if the user quits. Second of all, even if you shave your head there are little stubbles left inside the follicle that can be extracted

Would not be the first time the Star has taken whatever crap someone said about Ford, and reported it as news.

The OP picture of Ford looks off, Ford's head seems to be in the wrong place, too far forward, and his body seems shorter/smaller.

Actually, if you read the Star's story they did not report what someone said as news. They were very concise and clear about what they were reporting.

Along the lines of you not being able to prove you've stopped beating your wife, I cannot say the Star never previously reported "whatever crap someone said" (whatever that's supposed to mean, is it only reportable news if no one said it?) as news, but all they reported this time is the existence of the video and what was in it.

Whatever the crap is, you'd have to tell us.
