So I ask a girl out on a coffee date that that I met on speed dating since we only knew each other for few minute during that time I figure it would be a little more comfortable for her to get to know me first in a more relax setting. I don't mind taking her out for a nice dinner I just don't want her to feel uncomfortable. I am still waiting for her to confirm a date.

Your thoughts?

Of course! Meet her for coffee, see how it goes and take it from there! If it doesn't work out, all you committed to was coffee!

Great idea. No major commitment, public place so she'll be comfortable. Open ended, so either of you can bail if it's not working. Take her to a second Cup or the like.

If she is your age you can meet with her anywhere. But if she is young and beautiful chances are she won't respond as coffee equals cheap in their world.

For sure. Speed dating is hardly a first date.... way too quick. So just like a first date off a dating website this is a good first one. A dinner maybe too long & awkward aswell after a half hour or so coffee date you may find you dont really hit it off with her. Easy to end a coffee date anytime & bail.

I don't drink wine, I can't remember her exact age but I think it was somewhere in her mid 20s to late 20s.

If a woman asks to be taken out to dinner on the first date, run and run fast. Coffee or tea is more than appropriate for the first date, just make sure to pay for her coffee.

I don't know where you live, but look for a nice cafe.
Better ambiance without breaking the bank.

I work downtown TO so anywhere there is fine I figure I would pick some where close to her work for her convenient.

Hank's on Church isn't a coffee shop but it's a nice, laid back location. Google it out and I think you'll like it. G'luck!

coffee is the default safe first date choice. I have done it many times.

The only issue is try to pick a cafe that i not too crowded so you have a bit of privacy. Don't pick the most popular coffee joint. Remember it is about you two and not the taste of the coffee.

Boring. Take her for a couple of drinks after work and see how things progress.

Buy her a coffee and then ask if a blow job is available in the near future.

Out being curious
I personally dont like coffee..it is possible that she doesnt either..i have turned down "coffee dates" for the simple fact that i dont like coffee...for me..my "safe" "no pressure" date is, dependin on if i think she might like somethig active, bowling or pool at a classy place..or if i think she wouldnt like active stuff its a bakery or desert (i guess thats almost like a coffee house but much more variety for food and i can get a regular drink)
