I've just been exposed to too many of the bad ones then. Like neigbours that were muslims. I say hello to even female muslim neighbours and they won't even say hi back or even look at my direction. due to possible repercussions from their prick husbands.
While the women HAVE TO wear their traditional garb...........notice how the men dress westernized and wear what they want.
I've seen the men and boys in this household just walk in the house not helping the women carry heavy groceries in the house.
Sorry, but i've read their Quran, and its the same book that modern muslims and the radicals read. The two just interpret i just a little different. But the same rules apply On the surface the modern muslims men may look all prim and proper...........but trust me, behind close doors the women are second to men.

I know quite a number of Canadian raised Muslims (a couple essentially since birth - their mom ran several successful businesses, never wore a hijab, never sat quietly in the corner, and was never afraid to share her opinions in public including to her husband) and I've seen nothing from them that suggests they mistreat women. The religions isn't that fucked up but some of the cultures intertwined with Islam don't fit in well with Western rights and freedoms.
Like was said, many may follow interpretations that denigrate women but many don't. It's not like Christianity or Judaism have groups who still treat their women essentially the same way

+1....i think anti muslims like LKD , TROOPS and mykonos are just relaying their own fear and hatred from what they see and hear on TV and their communities. I doubt any of these guys have befriended a muslim, or had any interaction. Fundamentalist Muslims don't follow the bible or the koran. They follow hadith, which is the interpretations of scripture pontificated upon by senile mullahs and imams. Not much different from the fundamentalist christian preachers in the west, who twist the bible to their own ends and turn their ignorant sheep into bigoted assholes.

I know a lot of muslims from Africa and work with a lot of muslim lawyers who are very good people and would make great neighbours.
The muslims I know from Africa tend to have family origins in India and Pakistan but were booted out of Uganda by Idi. They are smart, entrepeneurial, polite and very influencial in a number of Canadian industries. They have been here for a long time and never caused any troubles at all.
Norway needs to take a hard line with this problem though. My knowledge of there criminal justice system is that it is kind of soft, and it needs to be made clear that rape or assualt on women will not be tolerated and the punishment needs to be very serious.

Look I used to frequent strip clubs a lot. NEVER have I seen anyone wearing the muslim garb. There are a lot of Arab christians and athiests. I would be hard to tell what anyone in the SC believed in unless they were wearing some sort of religious items or praying in the club.
Not beheadings and not necessarily Ontario, but honour killings nonetheless.
