Common, how many famous brothers of seven have there ever been?
Several reasons: Photographs, Tintypes etc. . .took time and it was easier to maintain the same expression over time when not smiling. Further, photography was serious business like a portrait, hence one shouldn't appear informal and intimate by smiling.Any one know why the subjects in the old photgraphs in this thread do not smile?
