Is anyone planning to read "Paying for It"?

Bought a signed copy recently at a Drawn and Quarterly book signing. I've been mentioning / recommending the book to every girl I've seen since. I'm surprised that there is not a larger discussion of the book going on.

I'm naturally curious whether or not Chester and I have any overlap, but I suppose I will never know. Lol.

Great book. Got it from the library and was planning to read it slowly but couldn't put it down and finished in a day.

Funny and hits close to home.

Perhaps I missed your joke, but it IS a comic / graphic novel.

For those timid or leery about buying it because of how it might look, spend a few bucks and buy a copy of the graphics novels "Maus" or "Watchmen" or "Stitches" to display on your shelves alongside it.

Note that in one of the excerpted panels, he even refers to TERB in terms of mulling over posting a negative review. (I wonder who, among us, he is/was.)

d/l'ed it (sorry chester if you're still on terb =P i'll buy it when i get the chance)

quick read, finished it in a few hours. Haven't read the appendices yet tho. Its such a contrast from 1-2 liners and panels to pages of text. It's a good entertaining book =) i enjoyed it. I never tried the escort scene, but it seems similar to the mp scene. Didn't know he was dating sook yin lee.

I read the book. I would say it was worth reading. The really funny part of the book is at the end when he gives his views about prostitution. He thinks that prostitution will eventually become so mainstream that it will become socially acceptable for "regular women" to ask for money for sex on dates. I think he has lost his mind, but it is hard to predict the future so maybe he is right.
