Blocked numbers

I see some SP's are stating no BLOCKED NUMBERS
My question to the ladies or anyone that knows.

Do public phones show up as BLOCKED NUMBERS?

Do "pay as you go" cell phones show up as BLOCKED NUMBERS ?

Finding a public phone is getting hard now so I may have to go with Pay you go.

Anyone with better ideas?

Pay phones often show up as pay phones. Pay and go phones are no blocked unless you block them. This is the way to go.

Payphones do not show up as blocked numbers, but they DO show up as obviously being pay phones. I doubt the SP's will take you seriously. The no blocked #'s is because they get crank calls. They want to know they can call you back.

Pay as you go is fine.

When I was young and foolish, I got to the location and realized I forgot my cell. So, I called from a payphone. No answer. Then I borrowed a cell phone from a stranger and called again. Imagine if that guy's wife ever checked his outgoing call list.

Well... since the cats out of the bag on pay as you go phones... They should STOP requiring this shit as its intrusive & doesnt guarantee them anything except a false sense of security....

Anyone evil scum that would do these ladies ill would NOT use a cell with their name on it...

This is why legalizing SP activity fully is needed... NOT to eliminate potential embarrassment fro the clients... But to allow SPs to take precautions that WORK to ensure safety.

While it won't prevent any harm to an SP, my guess is that if police have to get involved, it could make it a lot easier to track someone. At the bare minimum, the police should be able to trace the phone to the store where it was bought to see if they could get any sort of image or credit card information from the buyer.

Unfortunately, it is a false sense of security. You can set it up so the number displayed is not your own. This can be accomplished on cellular and IP phones. Besides, the whole point of this is because clients want to ensure their anonymity.

I personally ask for a number so that I can call them in the event I have to re-schedule. There have been occasions where I got stuck in traffic and knew I was not going to be there when my client was due to arrive....thank GOD I had the phone number to let them know otherwise I would have had some very pissed off 'non clients'.

This is why we call back the phone to confirm it before giving location details. There are other things that we do to ensure you are who you say are as well.

The whole point....to ensure the safety of the ladies.

Also, pay as you can be traced. Takes a little longer but it is possible. So anyone who uses that type of phone thinking they can get away with hurting a lady because it can't be trace, you would be mistaken. For those clients who just want to make sure it does not get back to the wife, you are fine.

There is a happy middle ground that can be found for clients and ladies. Scamming one side or the other is just not right in my opinion.

I'm with Quest on this one. Tracking a cell phone isn't very easy, they (cell provider) protect ALL their clients information.
In fact, even if you know someone who works at a cell provider and has access to accounts, ANYTIME a client's information is being accessed it's recorded and logged by whoever logged onto the computer.
So if you called in for help, the access is verified if need be via the call centre logs and recordings.
If someone accesses for a friend outside the call centre it's flagged and the employee can be pulled aside and asked why they logged into someone's account if there wasn't a call made for it, etc.
If there is anything funny going on the police may be involved as well, it's something they (Bell, Telus, Rogers, etc) take very seriously (anonymity that is) and they have to.

I know a couple of people that run call centres for all 3 major players in Toronto.

Since they have security camera's inside, I am sure they won't keep video in tapes that long. Maybe a week and that is it.

Don't have to worry about my name or tracing. Nor will I record/store and # in it.

I think having a potential contact # from the client provides a slight bit more
reassuranc that the client is serious. Not some kid jerking her around. Sure it canstill happen, but one calling from an unblocked # is probably more reliable throwaway phone or not. And it is a way then can reach you to confirm details etc.
I did break down and buy a throwaway. It is convenient, I did not want my hobbying recorded on my Rogers bill. But many girls will take blocked #s as long as you seem reasonable on the phon. "no blocked #s " is not always absolute.
