I have never felt embarrased about Obama. I was embarassed to be a citizen of the same country as Bush and Cheney, and I was embarassed that Sarah Palin could ever be a candidate for national office.
over stating it a bit
but that is your right

Obama's lack of leadership skills, as pointed out in the video, are at the essence of my argument, yet many of you continue to feel the need to bring in vacation days taken by GWB. Have I once said that Bush was a good President? For crissakes let it go.
Obama is an incompetent leader, and his arrogance is astounding. He has done nothing to bridge the gap between Republicans and Democrats. His policies are divisive and out of touch with the mainstream. He has appointed extremists to key positions. The #'s don't lie he does not resonate with the typical American. You'll see in November how bad it really is.

I would argue that he has tried too much to bridge the gap between the Democrats and Republicans. His one weakness is actually he's not arrogant enough , he needs to use his majority and put through things he said he would, and stop being afraid of a fillibuster.

He's running a majority government like a minority one.

I don't have a problem with presidential vacations. I don't really think a president is ever truly on vacation. The problem I have with Obama is that he's constantly travelling to various cities and to a lesser extent, other countries. The cost of all this travelling along with the necessary security, conferences, etc. must be enormous. The government is broke and he keeps spending money. To me, this is very irresponsible. Set an example of frugality...but spending just keeps on growing as does the size of government.

With the party of "NO" on the other side, no surprise he can't get anything done.

Nope whatsoever. Just laying out the facts that Obama will never be considered to be "black" enough for some in African Americans community. Obama is too "white" in their mindset.

BTW, Obama is a decent man. It's just many of his policies are misguided and he doesn't give enough confidence that he gets the priorities in good order.
"Decent men" don't attend America hating, anti-semitic churches for 20 years. Its like saying that you can attend Klan rallies and still be a decent person.

The dems have overwhelming majorities in the House and Senate. They don't need republicans to pass their agenda. The real problem is the conservative (sane) democrats that aren't on board with the socialist agenda.

if doing nothing is something you have found your poster child.

You have never been a cheerleader for America and that explains your wanting him a second term
Horseshit.

I call a spade a spade and America under Bush was a dark place and it was a dark age.

I like Americans probably more than most. But I hate red necks and neocons. So if that makes me anti-American in your eyes so beit.

I guess you are still smarting from me calling you out for being an hypocrite on your stand on abortion.

They gutted the original health care reform proposal, turning it into a bad compromise.
That isn't a filibuster.

Do you understand that the only way the Republicans can block anything is with the filibuster? If legislation isn't being passed and it isn't because of the filibuster, then it is because dems are voting against it.

They are the minority party. Do you understand what that means?

Without a filibuster, you only need a simple majority to pass legislation.
Then you don't understand how the system works. There are ways to block legislation from even reaching the floor for a vote, the simplest way as I've pointed out before, being a "hold". A "hold" or "secret hold" allows a single Senator to block legislation from coming to a vote. After 6 days the Senator is required to indentify themselves. So what did the Republicans decide to do? After 5 days the first Senator could "transfer" the hold to another Senator and the process would start again. Two Senators could play tag team like this ad infinitum.

There are currently over 300 bills that have passed the House waiting for any kind of action by the Senate that have been held up by secret holds, not to mention a record number of Obama nominees that have been obstructed. It is an especially juvenile and cowardly tactic, and one that the Republicans have gone nuts over. Abuse would be a kind word. They don't want to see anything move forward. That is their one and only objective.

Nonsense...Obamacare was held up by blue dogs. Cap and Tax was also killed by democrats. The unemployment benefit extension was stalled by republicans but eventually they caved. The small business bill is currently being stalled by republicans but they may cave on this one as well.
