Does anyone know when rim will release the official version of blackberry 6 for the older models? I have a storm one and I'm waiting?

Thanks,

F...... is this website any good? Or do I have to replace my phone as xmas time?

http://blackberryrocks.com/latest-blackberry-os/
Its a good website, I go to it quite a bit. But, it's not specifying which phones will get BB 6.0. The link I posted above states this:

The quick answer is that it's the newer, higher-end 2010 devices that will get an update to BlackBerry 6 - the Bold 9700, the Bold 9650 and Pearl 3G (and yes, the Bold 9700 technically hit the market in 2009, but it was fairly late in 2009 when it hit so it's more of a 2010 phone).

I'm relieved because I just purchased a 9700, but bad news for other phone owners...

then screw this shit I'm going prepaid with mobilicity. I use way too much air time and I'm not a new customer. I don't qualify for all the great savings. I'm going to cut the noose. But after looking at their plans might go elsewhere

You can always do what bottie does and work for a company that picks up the whole tab! Won't cost you a penny then....

It's not coming. The Blackberry 2 does not have enough horsepower to run it. I'd switch to the iPhone or Android.

The Torch is a fucking joke, specs wise. Also look at this showdown between the Torch, the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S. Does RIM think this is 2007?

Not 'hating' at all. Snug bottie brags about it! That hating BS talk is really grasping at straws to say the least!....

Blackberry is still primarily an email and texting phone with its encryption, exchange integration/BES/remote wiping, admin etc and their excellent keyboards. They're just going to have to hope the features and improvements they've added are enough to keep people from wanting to switch to iphone or android for the secondary stuff.

I think RIM is exploiting this type of mentality by constantly providing sub-standard hardware and software to their customers.

It may be tough but if enough of their customer base finds alternatives, it'll send a message they need to dramatically improve or its game over. Where's the incentive to really improve if you continue to hand over your money to them?

Kinda like Apple did with their recent iPhone 4 antenna/bumper debacle, eh....

Haha, nice try. =)

The % of people reporting issues to Apple were around 0.05%. Also, the iPhone 4 has launched worldwide yet I haven't seen BBC or other European news sites pumping out iPhone antennagate news stories like here.

And unlike RIM, Apple has said if you feel the iPhone does not meet your standards, return it within 30 days for a full refund, no questions asked. How about RIM? Think they'll offer that?

RIM didn't have any 'iPhone antennagate' so their was no need for them to do one of them '30 days for a full refund, no questions asked' thingies like Chrysler and now Apple are doing!..

They just prefer to handle it like an ostrich. =)
Does that mean RIM will soon be offering a '30 days for a full refund, no questions asked' thingy like Chrysler & Apple?....
