If anyone has bothered to read a couple of my threads, I've said I'm trying to loose weight...And I am kinda...
In the summer, I used to wear 44 jeans, and had bought some 42s. They fit were a bit snug. I also used size 44 belts.
Now something to realize is I'm not a scale watcher, and what happens happens.
Come December, I realized "wow these 44s are really slack"..As in I could put both arms into the waist band while wearing them. And the 42s were sitting pretty comfortably too. As well, I had to replace both belts.
Now...I'm hitting the very last notch on both belts again! While I wear the 44s, they hang on me, and I'm thinking it's time to try some 40s.
But what came as a really big surprise was....I read a thread in the review section about how to dress for a visit. Some of the gents and ladies said they liked a suit. So I got thinking and got the last suit I bought. It was about 8 years ago for my niece's wedding...The jacket fit like a tent!! It used to be ever so slightly snug. Now the breasts overlap by 8"!!
So I went and grabbed the suit I had bought for my father's funeral, from about 17 years ago....And it pretty much fit!! It didn't fit properly over my arse, but it buttoned up and otherwise fit properly!!
But I still have an 18" neck...And for those that have met me, why know it's not a fat guy's neck...I have a relatively long thin neck.
Wow!!
Now for the damn it part....Rare occasion I do hop on the scale...My weight hasn't gone down!! I weigh as much as I did last year, despite fitting into smaller cloths and physically feeling better. That leaves me with a few options: A) the fat is migrating, b) I'm just replacing the lost weight with rocks in my head, c) the scale is fucked. (And no, I'm not doing weight training either, beyond what work provides me)
One way or another, that was a great inspiration for me to keep at it. Sure I'll never be in the shape that CG or HOF are in, but that doesn't mean I have to be in the shape I am in.
Just thought I'd share.
