The chicken is not the best, the fries ore OK, the cole slaw is not that great. The only thing that good about KFC is the sauce. I get the big container and mix it up with some rice and its better than all that other stuff.

I loved the so called gravy. now I may throw up from all the "gravy" I have had over the years.. I don't mind the pop corn chicken"Sauce", by that you mean the beige-brown gravy?
FYI: that "gravy" comprises of fat and burnt debris from the bottom of the deep fryers (since it is most intense in flavour), water and a mystery gravy mixture that is exclusive to KFC. Mix all together and strain. Voila, "gravy".
KFC may be going out of style in North America. The move away from deep fried foods and the general health kick have closed many KFC's. But they are going strong, in fact even growing in the rest of the world.
No, really, it's made of scrapings from the pressurized fryers. How do I know? During my illustrious high school years (ahem, many many moons ago....), beer and gas money came from me working at a KFC ("Kentucky Fried Chicken" back in those days). Besides being the "cook" and eating way too much free chicken products, I personally made countless batches of "gravy" in said manner. This was the corporate gravy. There was even a corporate manual to do it this way, with details on the ratio of deep fryer crap, water and the gravy powder mix. You don't see the fryer crap because the brew is strained before it becomes "gravy". Regardless, it's tasty stuffI do not think the gravy is made fryer scraping, its just cheaper to have it all in a pre made powder. If it is made of fat, all you have to do is freeze it and see if it turns white. Kentucky FRIED Chicken will not even say the word FRIED anymore for fear that they might scare customers away. Imagine if it was found out thathat their sauce is made of fat and fryer scrapings.
But they just say "Fried Chicken" on the sign!Do they have any restaurants in Kentucky?
Gyaos.
i saw a commercial for kfc grilled chicken. not sure if it was a cdn or us station. They've introduced a "Baked" chicken in the USA.
I wonder when it's coming to Canada?
