number one, cannot be beat, ugliest architeacture ever
Their leader Kim Jong-il probably thought that it was the most beautiful architecture ever and nobody dared to disagree with him...or the ones who disagreed were buried at the bottom of this building.

Is there a ranking of the world's ugliest leaders?

"Japanese newspapers estimated the cost of construction between 1987 and 1992 was US$750 million —equivalent to 2% of North Korea’s GDP"

Is this a building post-major earthquake lol? Looks like the front fell off. Yes, I know what is it, just saying...

This building looks like a pyramid, but in North Korea? That government is crazy.
Nice landscaping.....

Remember that line from John Huston's character in the movie "Chinatown"

"Politicians, ugly buildings, and whores all get respectable if they last long enough."

When the Eiffel tower was completed, it was called a monstrosity.

One good thing about visiting the ROM is that you can look out the window and not see the ROM.

They took a beautiful turn of the century building and turned it into frogs eggs on toast and that view's from someone who works there.

It's a shame they put that addition on the building. They defaced a once beautiful building. It's disgusting and should be taken down.

I don't agree that it's ugly. It's just terribly out of place where it is. Something like that should stand alone in it's own mini complex, or be integrated into a block dominated by other glass & steel structures

.
While I don't think this building will ever look very good, I don't think it's fair to put this building on the list when it's not finished being built (you can still see the crane at the top)

Do you work as a volunteer

I find the Docents to be quite informed and they are volunteers

Have to have a degree to do free work

It is said the addition makes the ROM a truly world class museum is this because of the extra space or is there another reason like the wierdiest Museum in the world
