Do you still buy flowers?

Jade4u

It's been good to know ya
Times have changed I know but I am curious how many men still buy women flowers on first dates, special occasions or if you only do it if you feel obligated to do so ie.. a woman brings up she likes flowers? Have you bought women flowers for every first date or only with women you really want to make a good impression with? Maybe you are the type that does it frequently???

Most women that I hang out with are smart enough to see through flowers as a cheap ploy...

Yes because being a gentleman never grows old. Giving a gift also allows insight into the woman by how she accepts it.
Another example, back prior to automatic door lock releases in cars, gentlemen used to open a ladies door to let her into the car and hold the door open. Now for the part that alot of women may have missed was guys would walk around to their side of the car and watch to see if the woman leaned over and unlocked his door prior to him getting to the door. Little gestures like that gives insight into the womans character.
So giving flowers just lets the person know they are special and guys aren't that deep in gift giving so they will most often go with the standard gifts. She may hate flowers or think it is not original to give flowers but if she can see past that and respect the gesture then she is someone who you may want to keep in a relationship.

Yes, though I can't remember the last time I bought roses. I buy female friends a bouquet when they're sick, or down. I like the look on their face. It seems most guys don't buy flowers any more, and when I do, I often get an invite for a home cooked meal in thanks, never a bad thing.;)

I send flowers to my wife about once a month, usually after we've had a great weekend to thank her or if she's had a bad day to cheer her up. I always send them to her office to she can do what she calls her "nanner, nanner dance" in front of her co-workers. She loves them and Ive been doing it since we started dating many years ago.
Precisely! That's EXACTLY the way to do it. Wise man this Sentry11 guy! ;)

Every anniversary one rose for each year and one white carnation for contrast. Always sent them to her work.

And people wonder why marriages fail. How about a little thought for your gal?

...:)

I'll often buy freshly cut flowers after I've seen a person a few times, and semi-regularly after that. Nothing over the top, but I usually go for something seasonal, or something that matches the woman's place. If you do it a sincere gesture of affection and not as a ploy or apology it has always gone over well from my experience.

I used to buy roses for a close friend(not GF) every other wknd or so, but a month ago she dropped the bomb that she's in her first lesbo relationship. I've debated whether I should still.

if you bought flower for her as friend what does she being a lesbian have anything to do with that? and why is it the "bomb"? do you actually think you have a chance turning her into your gf? don't make us laugh. you are deep in "friend zone". no chance she will ever fuck you (willingly). you stand a better chance with a total stranger than her

I have always opened a door for a woman, especially when dating or going out with just the two of us...my ex would never open from the inside for me, my current girlfriend would (and did when the batteries ran out of the remote opener)...it does speak to a woman's character as well as I certainly noticed!

Yes I do even though I consider them to be a silly purchase (as they die so quickly) as my wife loves to receive flowers.

I use flowers to get me out of deep shit with my wife. Also V Day and B Day.

BTW Chinese wife much prefers orchids ($30) over roses ($90 on V-Day). Thinking of taking a flower to an Asian lady, or any lady? Orchid is beautiful and economical. Shows your refined sense of the delicate.

You think the lady is a delicate flower because that is what you brought, you are sensitive!!!

Home run, milage at top level, LOL.

Yes.

I used to buy them a couple times a year for my ex. She never really thought much of it.

My girl friend LOVES them.
