Ok folks....you always seem to know what's goin on in here, and I'm needing some help! Somehow or other, my computer keeps opening up an internet explorer window with some stupid website http://www. zh3g .com/ with all kinds of variations to the end of it. (I put spaces in there so no one would click the damn site - DON"T GO TO THIS SITE!!!!!)

I've run Norton Anti-virus, McAfee Stinger and AdAware to no avail. None of them found anything and this stupid website keeps popping up!!

Anyone have any suggestions??????

also try coolweb shredder
http://www.trendmicro.com/cwshredder/

Trend Micro CWShredder is the premier tool to find and remove traces of CoolWebSearch – the name for a wide range of insidious browser hijackers– from your PC.

CWShredder removes these browser hijackers. CoolWebSearch installs dozens of bookmarks–mostly to porn Web sites–on your desktop, changes your home page without asking, and continually changes it back if you attempt to correct it. Furthermore, it significantly slows down the performance of your PC, and introduces modifications which cause Microsoft Windows™ to freeze, crash or randomly reboot.

Hey guys,

I've never done a system restore before so I was hoping to avoid that in case I messed something up, but I tried the spyware you all recommended and it didn't work. I didn't do that other one where I needed to scan, then post the results on another site and wait for someone to help me - with my luck I'd get some joker tellin me to do the wrong stuff!!

So I did the system restore, and voila - worked like a charm!!! Thanks guys!!!

Still recommend that you use Highjack this and then post it on to the lockergnome forum to the link I provided. The mods are constantly monitoring the threads, and there is a few regulars there that are constantly helping out. Reason I say this is because I suspect the problem will come back. Did you do a system restore or did you reformat the drive?

type in what you want your homepage to be and go there then go to the top of your page to "Tool's",click on it. Go to "Internet Option's" and click on the "use current" tab and that will be your new home page
