The Craze Has Gone Too Far!

The Tattoo craze I mean. I was in another Province this week, traveling.
It was hot, and lots of skin on display.
But I am becoming discouraged. Beautiful, sexy ,pretty women, who seem to have more and more ink on their bodies.
I have to admit it...I don't understand the desire to get tats..
It seems women have moved from the little ankle tats, to the hidious Sana-Monica License plates (small of the back) and now more and more seem to have tats on the upper arms( any thing but feminine)
Help me understand why a pretty woman needs to ink herself up?
Is it for fashion, is it hip...or is there more to it.
Also, every girl seems to be sportng the Nostril piercing. I am neither pro/con this practice, but it does seem to be very popular these days.

(Please understand...These ladies can do what they Like to their bodies, I have no problem with their descision. I personaly think, it makes them look ugly.)
Any thoughts....

here, there and everywhere!
Diode I agree with you.

A small little rose on her breast or a discreet little butterfly by her cookie "can" be sexy (but certainly isn't a requirement to be sexy). But anything beyond that gets grotesque very, very quickly. The same goes for piercings. One can be tolerable, more are hideous.

I'll take my women unadorned and naked thanks kindly.

I don't have a problem with tat's. But these kids don't think about what there tat's are going to look like when they have to get a real job or when there 65 and there tat's are hanging somewhere around there crotch. Hey Grandma, why do you have that tat on you stomach ? It's not my stomach son, those are my tits !

Totally agree, but I don't mind tats on an SP, it's trashy-sexy. But for women who don't want to look trashy tatoos are something to avoid.

I've never understood how people can be SO SURE that thay're going to like their body adornment for the rest of their lives. It's a permanent decision, why make it if you don't have to?

Some people think deciding to have a tatoo is such a deep, meaningful thing and that the tat itself is an important representation to the world. Personally I think there are more meaningful things to do in life.

area code four one sex
not for someone I'd consider having a relationship with (though I'm sure small issues like that would disappear if I was in love), but for raw sex, or an SP encounter, tattoos would be great
looking forward to seeing Nikki from 4play :D

Tats were only remarkable when they were seen on a small minority of people. Now they are so "me too" that young men and women sporting prominent tattoos on their arms, backs, necks, legs, stomachs, boobs etc look like redundant fashion victims. They also look foolish and naive wearing those indelible logos of herd-like conformity.

They usually do it for themselves, to make a statement or mark an accomplishment.
To each their own, I dress or groom for my own interests as well.

As old as original sin, tattooing has existed in all cultures on both sexes for millenia.

For years now the inks and equipment are so much better that tattoo artists commonly advise they don't fade much, and they all offer 'touch-ups', sometimes gratis even years later.

Standard, fadish tatoos (large outlined cross, "Celtic" armband, Chinese characters) are signs of a boring, uncreative person. How embarassing it must be to spot your same tattoo on somebody else. But a unique design, graphic or floral, that follows the curves of a womans body: sublime, and can lead to all sorts of erotic fun. It takes a confident and creative woman to recognize and get such a tattoo, and in my limited experience, usually she's sexually awesome. Something to do with confident body image I guess.

The original meaning of tattoos in various tribes signified some sort of accomplishment or deed and were a sign of respect. These days, I agree, that on most women it just makes them look cheap and yeah, I'd say most women who have them nowadays are just following the herd. Like it is some sort of fashion statement....

On one hand I can totally understand "goth" type women who lead an alternative lifestyle and will be involved in that lifestyle their whole lives. But these wannabe britneys etc...well, IMHO you just look DUMB.

As for the preponderance of "santa monica licence plates" (lol great analogy) I hate it when I'm doin' her doggy and look down on what could have been a beautiful smooth back only to find some god awful blob of blue ink......As stated, a little rosebud, heart, or ? similar at the small of her back, yeah, that's sexy...but some of the shyte that is being put on a perfectly good back is just a shame.....

I agree with the negative comments...

... as I have made clear in some of my reviews- I just tolerate tats and piercings- even on my favs. (ok, I like Belly button jewelry- but thats IT) A line I read years ago-

"Would you scratch your initials on the dash of your Rolls Royce?"

While all tats are NOT permanent now, I have spent a lot of time at a fancy MD office that specializes in lasering stuff away.

It is expensive.
It takes repeated visits.
Some colours CANNOT be fully removed (though technology is improving)
It hurts like HELL. Even after lots of frezzing needles and pain pills.

Fortunately the pain isnt mine, but the cost and gifts in compensation sure are!

I've never heard them called "santa monica licence plates" before. A friend from Germany says that they've starting calling them "ass antlers" over there.

There is more to Tattooing than calling it a fad. Like many things, tattoos have become more popular because progress. No longer, is the sterotype that tattoos are for bikers, criminals, sailors or degenerates. As tattoos took a more positive light, more people of this generation are willing to express their like for them. And like anything else, some people get them because they are popular.

But this is no different than the industry this board promotes. Is Escorting a fad? Of course not. The amount of "working girls" today has grown 10 fold in the past 5-10 years. Why? Because the sterotype that "working girls" and "johns" are trashy, loose, degenerates is fading. And because of this, more people ( cleints and escorts) are willing to participate.

If we didn't allow sterotypes to evolve and fade, we wouldn't have a TERB, or daily publications running ads or discussions. It would be back to the secretive back alley dealings that was the sterotype in the first place.

i'd agree with freshbreath, i was with a girl who had one, then two, then three, all the while keeping them small and hidden, and i thought well i guess i can live with that, i was almost to the point of wanting to pop the big question to her, but when she got her leg sleeved, i was like, what kind of fucking parent figure would u be...

i could just see, daddy i want a tattoo, my obv reply would be no, then the child's obv reply would be, well look at mommy's leg

just my $0.02 on this

I don't like Tats either. I don't find them attractive on women at all.

Like the cliche says, "The forbidden fruit is always tastier."

A woman WITHOUT tats these days seems prim and proper, hence "forbidden.":D

Tats, IMHO, on men, make them look like thugs. For women, it makes them look cheap and slutty and that, at least for me, is a turn-off.

Under Your Skin*
wow what a subject for me to comment on lol
I have many tat's some girlie others not ,,its all a personal prefrence
I will admit i do have some that i really regret and am having laser removal
on ,, it costs more to remove them then to put them on .
I am very fortunate , i have mine in places that when i have somewhere
formal to go i can easily cover ,, i go to a lot of upscale events and no -one
knows i have a tat,,, but then i get home strip down the good girl
and theres bad bella lol ,, ive been told by some its a turn on lol
I am so happy the stigma, with tats is not so bad anymore ,, when i would go to a night club or whatever ,, i used to always get that biker broad look from people ,,

I don't mind tattoos on a woman but the ass antlers has become a cliche. You'd think woman were born with them. Ass antlers and the belly button chandelier has got to go.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of negatives. I really don't understand why some women insist on permanently scarring an otherwise beautiful body. I don't even really like tats on SPs.

Guess I'm just too much of a purist ...
