Ok, now that Jasmine is gracing our fair city on April 6th (and poss 7th) she needs help fiinding a suitable place to stay. Perusing the links there doesn't seem to be any concrete info on what's good or bad.

JJ asked me to get your opinions on these 3 places ......

Best Western Victoria Park Suite Hotel

Marriot Residence Inn

Westin Hotel

Doing a search there seems to be a negative for every positive, I found it extremely confusing. If you have any good recomendations please either post or PM. Don't limit yourself to the ones listed but she'd like it to be downtown.

This is the last piece of the puzzle so we need to "get er done" boys (and girls)!

You need the room key to access the elevator to get onto any sleeping floor in the Westin so it is not that good in that sense. It means she needs to come down to meet us and take us to her room. Otherwise, fairly nice hotel rooms. Lots of choices in expedia.ca or hotels.ca or go to priceline.

Minto Place is the best-appointed hotel downtown. Quite high-end. Entry is also extremely discreet, as you don't go anywhere near the front desk in order to get on the elevators. Big rooms, lush beddings, thick walls.

Les Suites is the nicest hotel in the market area. Huge suites.

Residence Marriott also has discreet entry and newer rooms, but after 11 you need a key card to get in the front door.

Holiday Inn Cooper is another higher-end hotel with nice, large suites available. No key card needed to enter or for elevator, but there is a doorman always on duty. But, the doorman wouldn't cause any problems for some guy walking in and getting on the elevator - he's not a guard he's a doorman.

Four Seasons in Hull is also a good go. Huge suites, easy access. Have to pay for parking though. Right across the river, near the Museum of Man. Need key access for upper floors though.

Slurp, trust me on this one..... Les suites!!!!!!! or novotel

les suites is the best!! I should know Ihave stayed there to the tuneof over 10k last year alone... pass that on

Well from my perspective. Les Suites, Albert and bay and Novotel are the nicest. Stay away from the Minto, I have it on good authority the security there it too Modern....

Lord Elgin is nice too and some of the smaller ones are nice, but from a traffic prespective may not be the best. The Aristocrat (name has now changed) is not that bad AT. They do lock the doors early though. Same with Novotel, the doors lock at 12AM, but they have a nice small bar.

Thanks you everyone, particularly the girls who visit as their perspective is what I was hoping to get for JJ. Not that the guys going to see them didn't help ... A LOT .... but let's face ti guys, you're all starry - eyed going there to see your lovely lady and may not have all yer wits about you!

Thanks to all who have helped put this all together in such an amazingly short time! You`ve saved me a round trip to TO & a hotel room ... and more importantly brought JJ, who is soon to be known as one of the premeire asain escorts in the world, to Ottawa to bestow upon us her amazing presence!!!!

The decision has been made, the room is booked and JJ will be letting those of us who have booked know when we get closer to the big day. She`ll also be contacting everyone to firm up booking times.
