Who wants to guess if any of these $50,000 new cars today will still run over 100 years from now, ha ha ha

All that plastic-rubber for bumpers and lower panels will be falling apart 50 years from now, let alone 100 years. Then you got the electronics and cheap wiring.

Aluminum doesn't rust but it does corrode and falls apart--it turns a whitest color and flakes apart. Most engines today have aluminum heads and other parts.

Those engines from the 1960's are still kicking butt at the drag strips--they been rebuilt sure but most have 40-50 year old blocks and cylinder heads

The world's first light bulb still burns too. It's in the Smithsonian, and is rarely (if ever) turned on. But it works!! There's also a bulb in the UK that has supposedly been burning for over 100 years, always turned on. The technology is there - we are just greedy pukes who would rather force each other to buy new stuff all the time, than produce quality hardware.

Miley Cooper was driving the world oldest car. They both got a free tune-up at a service station in the east-end.
