No SD slots, no usb ports and no RAM on early iPads but instead of being cheaper missing all those features, Apple raped their rubes who couldn't bend over fast enough to get boned.
No wonder bottie our bottom luvs Apple....
The lack of SD slot while everyone else was doing it for years was an absolute joke on Apple's part and sad to see the minions whining and complaining about it.
My advice at the time was, get an external reader. lol

iPad2 still sits at 512 RAM which I was surprised to hear and my friend mentioned to me the lack of megapixel spec information, so that also made me raise an eyebrow.
Aw well, as long as they're happy without the upgrades, while others are literally doubling up the hardware (ie - 1G RAM on tablets).

OTB has to love Apple, he buys their products. With their monsterous profit margins, he's invested too much at this point.
He wants to help build the almighty spaceship and hopes to go to "heaven" one day...as for what they'll say at the Pearly Gates....totally different story. :closed_2:?

how many original Google Nexus phones were sold? <500,000? how many do you still think use that phone? my guess is very few, seeing as the buyers of that phone are next gen type people

if someone tells you that an iPhone 3GS runs just as well on iOS5 as it did when it was new is a fucking liar!! that hardware can not run it smooth and there are so many features it can't run

my iPhone 4 has a noticeable sluggishness since I upraded to iOS 5 and my Samsung Galaxy S2 which was IMO a better phone than the iPhone 4 to begin with is now far smoother/faster

I can't wait to pick up the Nexus Prime!! i'm saying bye bye to iPhone for good

Apple's planned obsolescence, it's true! here's the proof!

Google and its hardware partners are showing Apple how its done.

Yes, here IS the proof, which also shows the above linked article to be not quite true when it shows/states that all the Apple phones are still supported through each IOS update

iPhone OS 3.1.3 users unable to download new apps

iPhone owners still running OS 3.1.3 are apparently bumping into trouble trying to download new apps from Apple's App Store.
Several users of the older OS have chimed in on Apple's Support Communities reporting that they can update existing apps and sync apps from iTunes to their phones, but they can't install new apps directly to their devices.

One commenter described the problem in part as follows:
Whenever I go into a specific app in the app store, none of the buttons work properly. 1) clicking on the price no longer downloads the app, 2) the ratings button does nothing, 3) the 'tell a friend' and 'git this app' buttons jump back to the top of the app window, 4) pictures usually don't show up...

The issue seemed to start around December 15 and apparently is still causing headaches.

The glitch affects both iPhone and iPod Touch units running OS 3.1.3 and, in some cases, earlier versions of 3.x. However, at least one user reported the same issue with an iPhone 4S. And CNET Senior Editor Bridget Carey also ran into this problem on her iPhone 4S, explaining that she had to back up her phone and then restore it to get the app downloads to work again.

But a restore doesn't necessarily do the trick for those with older devices.

Two forum commenters said they went through a factory restore but were still unable to download new apps. Several users also confirmed that their previously downloaded apps now show prices instead of the Installed button when viewed in the App Store, leading them to pin the blame on an incompatibility between the latest App Store version and OS 3.1.3.

Tech news site Engadget was also able to confirm the issue by testing one of its devices.

Some forum users who contacted Apple said they were advised to upgrade their operating system. But those with older iPhones and iPod Touches are stuck with version 3.1.3 since iOS 4.x and 5.x support only newer devices.

Another user reportedly received a response from an Apple rep who said that he had not "received any news stating that there was an issue with iOS 3.1.1, and accessing the application store."

We contacted an Apple representative, who said the company is looking into the matter and promised to get back to us with more information.

but but I thought new IOS updates were supported through all Apple devices lol sheesh could Apple have a fragmentation problem? ;)

From the rather quick to judge department......

How pathetic is that... proof that the free OS is value priced....

OTB
How pathetic is it that Apple won't support devices pre iPhone 4.... with a free OS update on an overpriced device

I know. I love how Apple supports the iPhone 3GS with iOS 5 but Google won't put ICS on the Nexus One.

Now that's pathetic.
Pathetic is a two way street it seems. try putting ios4/5 on an original iPhone and tell me how pathetic that is.....hell even try it on a 3g or 3gs and tell me what a satisfied Apple customer you are lol and btw putting iOS5 on a 3GS would leave you with a "pathetic" experience and furthermore I have now seen ICS on a nexus one thanks to the open source community nya nya nya :p

If anyone is still running their phones on OS 3xxx, then their not paying attention and then bitch when things don't work. i have an Iphone 3s and it's up dated to use the latest OS 5xxx and all the apps I use work just fine and so does the battery sytem. If you don't regularly up date your toys, if only for security purposes, you deserve the bugs that ALL system have.

It's being reported the app store issue is now fixed... Was not a device issue or planned discontinuation, sorry to disappoint the usual drama queens...
