Should TERB keep the new format, or revert back to the previous one?

Okay, so the new format here on TERB has drawn a *lot* of attention, most of it negative from people screaming about how different everything is and how all-of-a-sudden it's a lot more counter-intuitive and difficult to use, with some stalwart defenders of change-just-for-the-sake-of-change stepping forward with remarks about how "everything is going to be okay" once we just "get used to it" and other stuff like that.

So let's have a poll ... Do you like the "New TERB" and would prefer to keep it (or you'll at least agree to tolerate it), or do you *not* like (or hate) the "New TERB" and would beg, plead, and implore the powers-that-be here to revert back to the previous format?

Let's have our voices be heard ... Anyone who posted on the other thread about the new look, please post all your comments again (either positive or negative) right here, so that the staff of TERB will get a good idea of whether the change is for the good or should be banished ...

Let the vote-tallying begin!

I like it. It's much cleaner than the old site.

For those who don't like it (which is the majority, as of this writing), please remember that it takes time to adjust to these types of changes.

The sad thing is that it has only been a couple of hours and people are whining about the most ridiculous things. Full features that are missing are a problem, but for the most part, it's much better. Lets have the poll run again once the switch over is complete.

For future reference for the admins, the proper way to make an upgrade like this is to copy your existing server to a new server, run the software upgrade on the new server, update all of the cosmetic and custom changes, test the system for bugs and then schedule an upgrade time during your lowest traffic time slots. Let people know that the site will be down for an 30 minutes or an hour (with some notice) while the hardware is swapped out and some more tests are run and then take the site live again with the new format.

You'll get a lot less bitching that way.

Love the new look and feel. No doubt it came with the major vBulletin upgrade (to 4.0.0) which I'm sure was needed, since the last major upgrade (v2.x to 3.0.0 was almost 5 years ago).

Nicely done. Looks great!

To be honest, no I don't. But I'm a woman, it's our prerogative to be impatient, lol. ;)

But more to the point, I don't have a lot of patience with change just-for-the-sake-of-change, which is what this sure feels like. The previous incarnation of TERB was very serviceable; it's not like users were constantly posting new threads complaining about this-or-that that wasn't working properly and whatnot, so I just don't see the need to install a completely different format out of a clear blue sky ...

And we do kind of live in a democratic society - you know, one where free speech is not only allowed and encouraged. Haven't you ever felt strongly about something? Well I feel strongly about this, so I'm posting ("bitching" as you put it, although you'll have to include dozens of other people in that category) in both this thread and the other one. And just to let you know, the only reason I started this poll was because the sentiment about the new format was *overwhelmingly* negative on that other thread, so I felt it deserved to be shown in a poll ... and the "change it back" option does seem to be pretty strongly ahead.

So "sheesh", lay off me and the others who don't like it. If you like the new format then that's great (honest, not sarcastic). Just because we don't agree isn't the end of the world and isn't any reason to slam me here ...
