I have blasted mercilessly people who have blasted me...and sometimes those who have not. I've even piled on the the characterizations provided by others of someone they knew (when they called a friend / GF / other an idiot, etc.) I've NEVER drawn someone into a tirade that I didn't know or did not already have their own characterization to work with. There was a time when Toronto wanted to be just like NY city, not just any American city. Not anymore. American franchises abound but so do unique TO institutions, and dynamic ethnic influences not found anywhere in the U.S.
