Has anyone been to Club61 lately?
I've never been there because I am closer to Pigale.
Thanks

I was there in late Fall to experience the ambience after reading about it here. Old club, no VIP rooms, a few tables and chairs in the back wall for "private" dances for all to see. The day I was there, the young ebony beauty (forgot her name) who danced for me was hot. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.

Club 81 is a retirement home for old strippers. Nice ladies to talk to...but a little long in the tooth. Hell last year they had a visably preggo dancer grinding on stage...

\\\however the cover charge is cheap ...lol

It has sentimental value for me as it's the first bar I ever went to when I was 16. Back in the early '80's it rocked. Good looking girls, features, porno movies between shows, now it's a real dump. Check out my previous posts. Still pop in 'cause you never forget your first.

Any suggestions for something like club 61? A little seedy with skanky girls?
It is miles from Alymer, but Tease on 31 (bank st) south of Findlay Creek can be a little skanky. As well, their is always the Playmate in Vanier.

That place in Casselman..not sure if it is still open..or the place in Grenville, QC just across from Hawkesbury..not much in the way of dances offered there though.

I have good memories of Club 61...Amanda (haitian girl who was a nurse in the daytime), Desiree, Destiny and a bunch of others. I always found the bouncer funny. This bulgarian guy who was bald except for a patch of hair at the back near his neck who sat by the entrance reading paperback novels and charging $1 cover after 19h00. The jukebox that the girls had to feed was a classic plus they had some great deal on 2 beers (always Sleemans) for a cheap price. Many of the customers were regulars.

It is now a high end steak place.

Pretty sure that place is now called Tease...
Thanks Ryan, had a brain fart there for a moment. I have corrected my post.

Years ago, we use to go up to a cottage near Ladysmith QC. We would stop in at Pinks first then then 61 on our way out of the city. As Zbla mentioned Club 61 was classic. Often the bartender was also a dancer as well, and some of the stuff that went on in the back corners of that club was just nasty LOL. Thanks for the memories...

Not sure about the place in Grenville, but if I remember correctly the place in Casselman was called Katrina's. Not sure if they still have dancers.

Karina's is the bar in Casselman (sorry for always correcting you Coors!) never been there myself but it does show up on TUSCL. It has been on my list to stop in there on the way to Montreal but I never seem to make it happen. As for the bar in Grenville...I have been there in the past 6 months. There were dancers, not totally skanky but a little, the dances ressemble the ones at that bar in Rigaud off the 40 (the name eludes me)...if you catch my drift.

What about the Oasis...is that one still open? Agree with all, Club 61 was indeed an awesome place.

Dude, the Oasis wasn't that the Carlsbad Showbar? If so that is long gone. mid 90's maybe? The bar that use to be in Rigaud was called the Eclipse II. It also has long since shut. :(

Wheres this magical place in Grenville?

Anyone know the name?
I think it is creatively called Le Cabaret...you literally cannot miss it after you cross the bridge from Hawkebury left at the first light and it is right there.

Yep...Carlsbad Springs...that was the place, only dropped in a couple of times but it was pretty seedy. Eclipse II in Rigaud...legen---wait for it---dary.

There was also a seedy place in Alfred on the 174 that had now become a legit bar...sadly.

I was there daytime... I think on Friday and it was pretty slim pickens... Maybe 2 girls working, one was pretty enough though.
