Re-branding communism as socialism is not a free pass to wash away the hundreds of millions of dead in the 20th century either executed, starved or worked to death by the red state
Russia
Red China (we will probably never know how many Mao killed in red China)
Eastern Europe
Vietnam
Cambodia
North Korea
Venezuela

The experiment has been run over and over again. Each started with promises to make life better for the "People".
Instead the result is massive human suffering and an unimaginable body count

And you seem to think Berrie or Warren will get it right this time around because you define socialism different than you define communism?

Thank you , but no thank you, we dont want to go down that road
As opposed to the corporate socialism of 100's of billions in bailouts and subsidies that end up in a few pockets?

Voters are tired of supporting the mistakes of bad business people. Time to build infrastructure and give everyone healthcare.

Judging from the results in Nevada, the Sanders train is picking up steam. And it's the billionaires caught in its headlight.

Warren may have a bit. I heard she is reporting enough fundraising to carry on.

And tonight she went all in on going after Bloomberg again.

Heh heh heh. Good. Keep clearing that path Liz....

Feel like she's had the VP talk with Bernie. Attacking Bloomberg does nothing for her in terms of swinging votes her way.

Considering how she treated him I think she is more looking at Sec of Commerce.

But really she is desperate and her attacks on Bloomberg resonated and gave her a boost in fundraising. She is setting up for the next debate and go whole hog on him.

Attacking Sanders hurts her right now. Her only path is a contested convention. And btw her base is white wealthy college educated. Same as the other moderates. The myth she has progressive vote does not show in her polling demographics.

Agreed on the polling data, even though the media doesn't talk it up that way. But if I'm Sanders and I want to hedge my bets in the general, I'm looking for a candidate with less penis than me.

He has said he wants a person of colour.

Bet on Tulsi Gabbard or Nina Turner.

You can't be serious
You are trying equate hundreds of millions of people dead as a result of the failed commie / socialist experiment
vs. the injustice you perceive from gov't bailouts & subsidies?

You may consider re-thinking the value you place on human life

You are the one comparing a US Senator who wants to bring universal healthcare (just like Canada, Britain, europe etc) to an authoritarian regime.

And let's be clear. The so called savior/billionaire is the one who instituted Stop and Frisk, a patently unconstitutional policy. Which without cause targetted people based on race for search and arrest.

And it's the so called champions of moderate democracy who instituted the Patriot Act and the FISA Courts.

It's your assertions that Sanders doesn't value human life in comparison to the Neo Con/Lib agenda of perpetual war and denial of decent healthcare that are ridiculous.

And any support you have for those agendas which indeed gave cost hundreds of thousands of lives shows you are one with a lack of concern for human life.

I'd like to colour Tulsi Gabbard.

As far as Warren being a possible running mate, I don't see it. Warren is too closely associated with some of Bernie's policies regardless that Butler labels her as a moderate. Then you would also have the issue of two New England-based politicians on the ticket. I think regional balance on Presidential tickets means less and less than the ideas, but New England is too small and too closely associated with progressive Democrats to make this pairing work on paper.

I wouldn't be so sure Warren would give up her Senate seat for a cabinet post. I don't think she will be challenged the next MA Senate election which is not for another four years. She won handily in 2018. Warren might have the easiest political career ahead of her out of all the Democratic candidates except perhaps Bernie.

You make valid points but I wonder if Warren wants to do more on Wall st. And commerce secretary will give her real power to regulate them.

At her age she may want to leave her mark more than ride time in the Senate. And Bernie is going to need to fill slots without resorting to the usual hacks.

I call her a moderate because of her flip flopping.

As to the rest I agree. Her on the ticket does nothing to improve it.

Tulsi however has alot of appeal. Tough as nails, great on stage, respected, will be good overseas, and would be a nice threat to the Neo cons.

Bonus for the conspiracy theorists is no one will take out Sanders for fear of her.

Who knows what's in his head? Nina might, *might* bring a little mileage in Ohio, but her name recognition is tiny. Tapping Warren pulls in the faux-progressives that are attached to her, and supports a nice unspoken narrative of succession for the guy who actually had a heart attack on the campaign trail.

My second pick would be Tulsi though, he gets a sorta-kinda-WOC. Don't know about ideological alignment, or if that even matters.
