HBO has lost none of it's power, first Chernobyl, now this.

A documentary of the aided suicide of Conrad Roy and Michelle Carter's role in it. After watching it I concluded that Ms. Carter is culpable, she could have stopped him from ending his life.

Upon further reflection I though that that she may have done him a favour. Conrad Roy was living in a broken home, his parents were sociopaths. They were too busy going through a vicious divorce, inflicting as much emotional pain on each other as possible. Blissfully unaware what their tong war was doing to their son. He was on Celexia. Even if his suicide could have been prevented, his life was going to be hard.

Michelle Carter lived in a fantasy world brought on by being on Prozac. She was detached from her peers with loneliness eating away at her better angels. She had a fatalistic view of romance, Conrad Roy was part of that scenario. She is currently serving a 15 month sentence for involuntary manslaughter. Now clean, the full weight of his suicide is on her shoulders. She will be released in 2020, I don't expect her to live long after that.
