It's just the open society liberal bullshit.Otherwise there is the big difference between legal refugees and illegal immigrants, but you like to mixed it up. I didn't say all refugees or immigrants are dangerous (I didn't use the word dangerous)but you have to be blind or close your eyes on purpose, when you don't see the danger when convicted criminals from US come through the border, before they deported back to their country. I'm not against refugees for people or families who are running for their life from warzone...etc. But I'm against the illegal refugees, when people come through the border from a safe country(USA) because they running from the law or the deportation order. Under the current Canadian law you can't take refugees who come from USA (except some really special reason). If someone deported by USA because they broke the law or served jail time or any other reason, they have no rights here. If you are an american citizen and convicted or just arrested once for DUI in USA , you don't have the right to come to Canada as a tourist and many of them send back from the border . But if you are a convicted criminal who cross the border illegally from a safe country, our idiots leaders take you with open arms. It's just not right!
There are safeguards in place to deal with such people...
The Immigration Task Force (ITF) is part of the GTA Immigration and Passport Section (I&P). It is a joint forces operation comprised of law enforcement personnel from the RCMP and Canada Border Services Agency. ITF has 20 members who work together to safely apprehend high-risk migrant fugitives through partnerships, teamwork and the effective use of intelligence.
The ITF was formed in June 1994 in response to the brutal homicide of Vivi Lemonis, a patron in a Toronto restaurant shot to death during a violent robbery. All four suspects were non-Canadians with serious criminal convictions in Canada and some were under deportation orders. The second catalyst was the fatal shooting of Toronto Police Service Constable Todd Baylis and the wounding of his partner Constable Mike Leone in June 1994. The suspect in this matter was also non-Canadian with a lengthy violent criminal record and was under deportation order. These events forged the formation of a partnership to locate and apprehend high-risk migrant fugitives.
Did you know...?
Since its inception the ITF has made approximately 3,000 high-risk migrant fugitive apprehensions.
The mandate of the ITF is to apprehend people who are:
at large on an outstanding warrant, or
are being sought by law enforcement, and meet the following criteria:
people identified as a national or public safety risk and/or have a security certificate issued against them,
people who are not Canadian Citizens and have an extradition request issued against them,
people, who in the Minister’s opinion, are a danger to the public pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act,
people who have criminal convictions for offences involving violence or drugs which carry a maximum penalty of ten years or more, or
people who have criminal convictions for offences involving weapons.
