Has anyone played/finished this game? On the Omaha Beach level, when I get to the end of the first scene where the engineers plant explosives on the steel doors, nothing happens; they just stand there. Is this a glitch or am I supposed to do something? The last orders I got were to "protect the engineers"...

You may want to try posting this question on this board:

Also, here is a walkthrough, albeit for the PC version:

Thanks.

I replayed the level and it didn't happen again.

(I already checked the walkthrough but it is significantly different from the PS2 version)

For those interested, it froze up again on another (even harder) level. Both times it screwed up at the end cut-scene, so I dunno if it's just my game or if it's a widespread glitch.

i haven't played big red one, but i've had some problems like that in the past with my ps2. the glitch usually only happens once, but i have had some serious progress erased due to this problem (gotta love those games that don't let you save when you want to).

i think big red one was developed for the ps3 so you should be cool when that bad boy comes out. or you could buy an xbox 360 (if you're a fag ;) )

Some new PS2 games don't work well with the early batch of consoles released on the market. No fix for it, other then a new console to my knowledge.

This game wasn't as good as the first one, IMHO. It seemed much shorter and you only get to play the Americans (which gets boring after a while). It wasn't a bad game, just not as good as the first. I thought the Sicily levels were pretty cool though. And the mission in the trench system on the hill (vs. the Germans) was pretty tough.
