If Trump is out maybe. If not, viewership will not recover, leading to possible lockouts in the future.

Trump is too distracting for the general population. When your life is at risk, sports will take a back seat.
Can anyone make any sense of this post?

The NBA in bed with China isn't helping either i don't think. I'm sure many owner told silver to get the blm garbage off the floor.

Credit to the NHL for not caving to having the black line instead of the blue line garbage.

It will be years before we see sold out crowds in any arena or stadium. Several vaccine trials have been halted because of participants suffering severe side effects. I don’t think we’ll have a effective vaccine for another year or so. And even then surveys are showing almost half the population won’t get vaccinated.

I highly doubt that he blamed, let alone referenced any political stripe or leaning. Please provide the quote to prove me wrong.
He didn't I actually think more righties and independents tuned out because of the messaging but You could make a case that the lefties in the league outnumber the righties and got what they wanted. As I speculated earlier it's not that people were actually against the messaging from the players. What they were against was that is was happening during the game. Silver says the messaging will be mostly off the court next year and quoted fans by saying "I'm on your side but I want to watch a basketball game"

I wonder if it's too late. I believe the NBA was near bust before magic and bird era. The salaries now are astronomical, networks bid on showing games based on what advertisers will pay. There has already been whispers of nervous advertisers. Another year of empty stadiums combined with their political rhetoric and them bending over for China could be disastrous.

I seen today that there are several promising vaccine trials, and that came from reliable qualified people not Trump.

If people don’t wanna get vaccine that’s there problem for being stupid.

This should be in the politics forum. The essence of this thread is BLM and NBA in China. All political shit.

BLM is universally considered a left-leaning philosophy, a form of marxism to be exact. I believe one of their founders even said as much.

No quote from the league stating that this is their opinion, as you previously claimed.

Are you saying rightie sports fans are such snowflakes that they stopped watching a sport they love because guys had words like equality and education on the back of their jersey?

By definition only Leftists can be snowflakes.

Until the NBA comes to terms with China and their human rights violations then their SJW stance can only be seen as pandering.

Fortunately for them the fans of their product made their decision to back away for them.

Bullroar.

Here is the definition of "snowflake" in Wikipedia.

Please point out, what in the definition clearly asserts that it must a leftist which would make it "by definition". I double dog dare you.

Snowflake is a 2010s derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions. Common usages include the terms special snowflake, Generation Snowflake, and snowflake as a politicized insult.

I don't see "leftist" or "liberal" or anything remotely similar to make your post credible.

Ha Ha they changed that a few months ago.

You know that because I quoted it at the time and you objected at the time. And I'm not going to dig through hundreds of posts to find it. But if you're honest you know

It seems the left likes to change the definition of words lately.

I remember a discussion, however, I honestly do not remember any proof being presented that the term applied to any particular stripe. It only ever meant someone who couldn't handle taking some heat.

Dude I quoted Wikipedia directly at the time... They changed their definition some time ago.

You're being untruthful right now. Or you have a selective memory.
