Why do people put ignore lists in their signature?

If you like pure rant vs. reason, then never use your ignore list. Some of the threads have interesting content, but it's hard to see sometimes without going thru post after post that is simply garbage. People like LOLacle and the oily gasbag just wear me out...
I just skim read the long winded soap box twats. I don't ever click a link provided by the misinformation Amigo dimwits. I do however find their whining and belly aching very satisfying.

Honestly If people wanna add a ignore list to their signature that is total fine with me

I dont see a problem with it then again if someone is bothering me soo much with their comments I simply just do not respond anymore.

Only problem I would have is if someones ignore list is like a page or two worth :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Then I would just assume that they really do not like people

I do it so that they know not to bother replying to my posts.
And if they do still reply, they will know why there is no response. It isn't because they won.
Won what? It's the internet, you don't win anything.

I was simply referring to being right or wrong, or mistakenly thinking one is right just because there is no reply to their repetitive idiotic bullshit.

You had such an extensive ignore list.
Now there's only two.
What happened?? 😆

I have a few on ignore. It is a great feature. I support the feature. I think it can be used in healthy ways and is something needed on forums like this.

What I don’t get, why broadcast who is on your ignore list in your signature? I have seen this with quite a few posters now.

Is this so the people on ignore know they are? Do you think they really care if they are or not? Do you think they will plead to get off your list? LOL

Is it to let other people know so that is someone on your list is bugging to trying and reach you, they can tell you?

Before the new board and its new feature, I know people who purposely quote an ignored person so that others would be able to view the ignore posts but with the new system, even quotes of ignore people don’t show up.

So what is the point?
A better question is why do some of the same people go after each other over and over again across multiple threads? I know that we all can get carried away, but some people seem to waste an enormous amount of time trying to win arguments that have zero stakes. Seems to me that we have to learn to disconnect a lot sooner from these online discussions.

Why? Probably mental illness. One member scours my posts for typos and thinks he found gold when he finds one. Go figure.

I have 15 people on ignore but most are there just because I don`t want to waste time skimming over their vast amounts of useless clutter.

These 2 are the only ones who I have had more than enough exchanges with and there is absolutely nothing they could post that would even remotely interest me.

Maybe it’s you that’s the difficult one...

You say that like it’s some sort of achievement to have that many people on your ignore list.
What really funny is I (who is on your supposed ignore list) just posted you have 9 different names in your signature as per your supposed ignore list and voila your signature and ignore list is adjusted. But I am glad I am still on your supposed list, sure those members you took off are not too happy.
These supposed ignore lists on signatures work so well. 🤣🤣

Let me repeat what I posted earlier, if one's intellect or rationale can not handle what multiple people post and one feels the need to constantly put others on ignore and make it known to others, the problem is not other people, the problem most certainly is you, it's just you are in denial about it.

I am talking about 2 out of 185,143 members.
1 of 185,143 members is on your ignore list yet you see and reply to his messages.
Am I the only one who sees fault with such concept?

Who and when?
I may have replied to Doggy a long time ago after putting him on ignore but that is because I saw something stupid in a quote.
I have not seen or replied since the new software blocks quotes.

How would you know this?
If you were really familiar with my exchanges with Doggy, you might realize what a pathetic annoying stalker he can be.

It's pathetic and petty. I have no one on my ignore list here, but do on other boards. I certainly don't broadcast it in an attempt to pull one over on them.

Posters who lack rationale, intellect and are factually challenged about everything they post are quite amusing to me.

Of course all rational and intelligent posters have extended ignore lists then put the names of the people they have on ignore in their signature, only to directly or indirectly creep their posts and reply to them.
What winners, and “Very Stable Geniuses”. Truly the problem lies with others 🤣

They have a missionary zeal. Many years ago I read a quote from none other than Yasser Arafat*, he said something like - We are fighting to see who has the better imaginary friend.

*Arafat was the leader of the PLO (Palistinian Liberations Organization), and famous terrorist when he was alive. People of a certain age know who he was. People younger than a certain age may not.
