Why do people put ignore lists in their signature?

I have a few on ignore. It is a great feature. I support the feature. I think it can be used in healthy ways and is something needed on forums like this.

What I don’t get, why broadcast who is on your ignore list in your signature? I have seen this with quite a few posters now.

Is this so the people on ignore know they are? Do you think they really care if they are or not? Do you think they will plead to get off your list? LOL

Is it to let other people know so that is someone on your list is bugging to trying and reach you, they can tell you?

Before the new board and its new feature, I know people who purposely quote an ignored person so that others would be able to view the ignore posts but with the new system, even quotes of ignore people don’t show up.

So what is the point?
These winners :ROFLMAO: who have ignore lists are like heartbroken guys who just got dumped by their exes but they go around, repeat over and over to everyone they were the one that ended the relationship. It's an attempt at looking as the strong one or the one who was in charge which in reality is the opposite of the truth.

What's really funny is those who claim they have others on ignore have always come back to either directly reply on others posts who they claim they have on ignore, and in some cases where they are trying to be inconspicuous they indrectly reply.
Now that's real beta male I meant alpha. :ROFLMAO:

Also if one's intellect can not handle what multiple people post and one feels the need to constantly put others on ignore and make it known, the problem is not other people, the problem most certainly is you, it's just they are in denial about it.

I don't understand why anyone would put someone on ignore. I never have even though some folks I think are complete dumbasses and ignorant individuals.
Not getting into the rest of your post....

I have people like TeeJay on ignore. I have no interest to read posts of his type. They are full of illogical and antagonizing bullshit. They just are not worth my time and attention and easy to just block from view.

I have some on ignore who can never agree to disagree. I’m here for discussion, I have admitted more then once that I have been wrong before. I will again before the weeks out I’m sure. So I have no problem being wrong but you are entitled to your opinion and I’m am entitled to mine. If you can’t get that and obsess with every point over and over and can’t simply end the discussion by agreeing to disagree, then I have no reason to discuss anything with you to begin with.

Others here have a clear hate on for me simply because I am a vocal woman. I care not to read what disrespectful comment they feel like throwing at me. It is just not worth my time to read. That is what they want. They want me to read. When I don’t, well I just don’t. I guess they don’t get what they want out of it. Usually they realize they are not getting any response and stop.

So there are reason for the ignore feature. I think so anyway.

I don't care about saving them time.
I guess it is because some of them are so pathetic, I don't want to help them derive pleasure by thinking that the lack of response means they are too witty for me.
I am just glad I made it to your ignore list, and I am the top of your ignore list. Many people are too witty for you, By the end of this year you will have all 45,671 TERB members on ignore :ROFLMAO:

Everyone @basketcase @Frankfooter @bver_hunter @shack @apoptygma @John Henry @Charlemagne @lenny2 whose made your ignore list should be proud, they've provided facts which you couldn't refute and now they are on your ignore list. 👏
To the future members on your list they all deserve a pat on the back. :ROFLMAO:

I thought it was hilarious when I saw it first. To see some names bunched together is like anointed members of "Annoying Club".

I personally don't think silencing or erasing someone is the way to go.

Btw @Jenesis, you mention TeeJay in more than one post, multiple times. I think you might be in love with him 😆

LOL - could seem like that! LOL.

Honestly, he is just the easiest example that everyone on the board can understand as a reference. Which I don’t really know what that says about him. LOL.

No surprise this thread has gone sideways.

I actually don't have anything on my signature line.

I also disabled the signature line function. Can't be bothered. I also rarely bother with the thumbs up. What I noticed is that there is a small group who constantly give each other thumbs ups (sort of gaming the system).

Teejay, NO really. That astounds me because he's such a wealth of information! FUCK, my nose just grew and poked a hole in my monitor.

Well at least one thing is for sure, you and I will always get another chance on agreeing to disagreeing but I can safely say we agree on TJ. LMAO

I think, the following joke will answer your question:
A husband come home and see a wife showing him a sign "I am not talking to you". He walks around her, sit on the couch, and turn on TV. The wife stands between him and TV with a sign "Do you know why?"

LOL! I get lots of thump ups for my pics of naked women. Actually, I prefer views (eyeballs) to thump ups when I start a thread,

I suppose one of the best ways to stay off any ingore lists is to keep posting images of beautiful naked women 😁

As far as thumbs up or likes go, there should be another symbol like 🖕 and there should be a count of them too

There are far too many out there with such a fragile sense of self, that they would rather die than admit to being incorrect. For me, I know I am not perfect, and I am always willing to learn. I also do not have a problem appearing the fool, like asking people to explain things to me as if I am a child. This incidentally, can be very embarrassing for the speaker, who thinks that using ten dollar words will be enough to convince me they are right, or even better, that they actually understand what they are talking about. I heard that if you can explain something to another so that they truly understand (rather than just nodding their head and appearing to understand), that means that you yourself know what you're talking about.

In fact, admitting to myself and others to being imperfect is quite liberating. I still put forth my best effort (most of the time).

This totally, the best example of this was Dutch Oven, where he started a thread to say how happy he was using the ignore function.
That was a total celebration of his election litigation thread.

Its the board version of sticking your fingers in your ears and yelling 'I can't hear you'.
At which point everyone in the room immediately thinks you've won the debate.

As someone on a few ignore lists, I just find it funny.

I've put people on ignore, but always take them off. Sometimes too much stupidity is no good. But I'm at odds, because I always appreciate a good chuckle inducing rationalization by someone who just likes to say dumb shit.

I'm curious how you find out, otherwise, who has placed you on ignore?

Thanks guys. This thread had gone sideways and some posters take themselves way too seriously. We need to lighten up. I think I should post the pic below in my signature line.

If you like pure rant vs. reason, then never use your ignore list. Some of the threads have interesting content, but it's hard to see sometimes without going thru post after post that is simply garbage. People like LOLacle and the oily gasbag just wear me out...
