what would you do if you spotted someone you know on whatsyourprice?

On the lighter side of the subject.

I have an account in whatsyourprice. I don't use it, only login once every several month. I didn't put my own picture, and didn't make any offer: this was purely an experiment for self exploration.

By chance I just logged into my account and did a local search. And by chance I spotted a picture that looks like someone I know. She is young, pretty, was previously in a relationship with someone I know. I don't believe they are together still, and her status on the website indicated that she is currently single.

Aside from the picture, her self-introduction was pretty accurate. The language sounds like what she would have said/written by herself. The self-described personal history matches with what I know of her. In short, I don't think this is a prank.

Her social expectation on whatsyourprice is pretty wide-range, if you know what I mean. This is rather surprising because you wouldn't expect any of these if you know her on a personal level. I am quite shocked.

I have no expectation and quite frankly, don't expect myself to take any action. But what would you do?

Treat her the same as any SP. You treat an SP with discretion even though you don't know her. Would you say/do anything to an Sp to create embarrassment or for her to have fear of being outed?

Regardless of what she does, because I've never heard of that site, don't say anything. To her or anyone else.

It's not your place.

Sounds like its sorta in the same realm as www.seekingarrangement.com .
But the above is really for sugar daddies and sugar mommas. I was getting lots of hits with my profile when the new college/university year started, its like they specifically targeted young university girls.

And yep, I saw a few girls from FB on there...they were friends of one of my younger friends (ie, 1/2 my age).

thank you for your wise word.

I wasn't planning to do ANYTHING: I am not in a situation where I can be proactive, and I value my own privacy as much as anyone's. And I am sure she is NOT an SP (in the professional sense), nonetheless it was shocking to see that sugar-daddy/sugar-baby relationship is an option on her profile. Perhaps that's the definition of an SP; we can argue the semantics but let's not.

regards,

don't know what to expect, but I just signed up for the website you mentioned below. Guess what, she is there too.

With pictures showing her face. I guess there is no doubt what she is looking for.

oh well,

It's not about her not being an SP, but it is a good thing you aren't planning to do anything.

Just put yourself in her shoes. Would you want anyone you know coming to you about something invasive like this?

Or even someone coming to you about the fact your on Terb. Just anything similar.

It's just your treating this as you can't believe someone LIKE HER is doing that. I guarantee you in an SP's personal life, there are quite a few people who think someone like who she is in her personal life, wouldn't be an SP.

Anyone can do anything. No one has a look to them. Some do, but it is quite a stereotype.

You should say nothing. I mean what would you say really? Omg why are you here accepting money for dates? Remember you're there too and that means you're there to offer to pay for dates (even if you don't offer no one really knows that. And how do you know her having a profile means she accepts any offers?) I'm saying that because I've had an account there (maybe still do) but never accepted any offers. But I do get curious and I like to check things out lol.

While some say whatsyourprice is just a fancy way to advertise prostitution and I'm sure there are sp's on there I also know there are ladies who are just looking to get paid to go on a date. Who are we to judge? If she's pretty enough that people will pay for her company (be it going for a coffee or a weekend of whatever your heart desires) and she's single on top of it all, then more power to her.

You know what Socrates said -- "When faced with a dilemma, always go for the one with the biggest tits."

How much are the typical offers on this site?
Most guys start off with $100 offers (some might be a bit more, some a bit less) and the ladies can (and will) counter with whatever they think their time is worth. Say they counter back with $500. In most cases they'd meet somewhere in the middle or whatever they agree upon.
