What is your opinion on Dr Oz ?

Dr. Oz, is a surgeon and professor at Columbia University, author and television personality.

I think he is a fraud similar to Dr Phil but as a true professor of science he must understand WTF constitutes poor science and heresay evidence

He should be stripped of the title Dr

Great on air personalities, both now make tons more money from the show than they ever could in their professions.

But these medicos and pseudo medicos, Oz, Phil, Chopra et al, who pump dubious products and ideas on public television remind me of Elaine on Seinfeld who licked her index finger and said pointedly: Fake. All that the "Dr" title signifies is that one has completed and graduated from a doctoral level course of study, M.D., DD.S., D.Ed., Ph.D., etc. (even J.D., although it is not customary for J.D.'s to use the title they earned). It is an academic title, not a professional title. Unless you are suggesting he didn't really earn his degree, he cannot be stripped of it.

Yes He is obviously wrong with his advice a lot of the time. Trouble his target audience is too stupid to realize it. He is flat out dangerous.

I like this statement. He seems flakey as hell, as though he's a corporate shill, looks all polished, squeaky clean show and set. Never watched the stuff, but my father does at times.
