What revenues will Scotiabank Arena be getting?

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment own and operate the Scotiabank Arena and they're not a charitable organization.
Over a number of months, the National Hockey League might be playing multiple hockey games there - up to four games per day if the plan goes forward.
There's a reason a number of organizations were vying to host as a hub city.
As an exercise, try phoning the MLSE offices tomorrow and ask what it would cost for you to rent Scotiabank Arena to use their ice surface every day, all day for a four month period.


A number of the Leafs get 92% to 95% of their salary as a signing bonus paid on July 1st.
Auston Matthews received $15.2 million, his salary this year is $15.9 million.
John Tavares' signing bonus - $11.09 million. His salary is $12 million
Mitch Marner's signing bonus - $14.3 million. His salary is $15 million.
Jake Muzzin's signing bonus: $7.3 million. His total salary is $8 million. Etc.
Depending on CBA negotiations, escrow is likely to be set in the 20% range for the coming year, to maintain the current salary cap.
Subtract the expected escrow from the players salaries and tell us if they can expect to receive more money this year.
