Trump just has to have a fresh, dramatic issue to create tension and drive the plot for another few months. Now it's going to be banning 3rd World immigration and bombing Venezuela.

You're running a country. You can accept a nurse - already trained and with 10 years experience - from Colombia or the Phillipines. She just needs a couple of English courses. Or you can spend 5 years training a nurse from scratch in your own country and your own schools. What makes more economic sense??
I'll do you one better. Just ban all the male immigrants from third world countries. (They are the problem anyways.) That means we will end up with an abundance of women in our country, leading to more men will getting married off and more babies will be born. Right now the women here are too scarce, so they think their too valuable for an average guy.

Actually now that I think about it, my immigration plan isn’t difficult to approve/implement or gain public support. Since it is a known fact that 80% of all violent crimes are committed by men and that criminal records of third world countries are a joke - meaning it is impossible to audit (for immigration screening); from a public safety standpoint, only women should ever be let in from third world countries.
These women only present a 20% violent crime threat risk. (Amazing how The National Bureau of Statistics is aligned with the Pareto Principle. Surprise surprise.) And usually that risk is towards men that piss off these women. Women don’t often commit violent crimes against men they aren’t involved with. So again the risk to public safety is very low if immigrant women from third world countries are let in.
Added bonus: these immigrant women from third world countries are almost always medium to slim build - prior to import.
