No, I wasn't.

I think Penny "got away with murder" - or at least manslaughter. But he's an attractive, likeable young white guy who probably charmed the jury on the stand and the vic was a crazy, black guy.

I thought it likely the jury would be hung. Sounds like the jury members who wanted to convict gave in faster than the jury members who wanted to acquit in the jury chamber. You don't have to be a genius to predict how that would play out. And even the jury members who wanted to convict probably felt a little sorry for Penny and felt "Whatever!" about letting him go free.

Not the first time that a white man killed a black man in the US and walked out of the courtroom a free man. Not the last.
I think it’s as simple as “who would you rather want to share a subway car with tomorrow”

Don't take anything Trump says seriously. He is a liar and a blowhard... wait until he acts, then tell us what a clown he is, but there's nothing anyone can do.... he's an unhinged dictator . Expect 4 years of mayhem. At least we'll have Colbert, Kimmell and Myers to keep us laughing about it.

This is an example of a crazy delusional radical left synopsis of the case.

Penny's case being dismissed has absolutely nothing to do with race - his race or the race of the dead perpetrator.

Penny was dismissed because he was a hero on a busy subway and saved innocent people from being victimized by a violent deranged criminal.

The new immigrants are pretty much the same as the Jews and Italians and Poles who came to the States in the 1890's. Poor desperate people who wanted a fresh start.

You think the folks who started the mafia were squeaky clean????
Didn't the US government ask the mafia for help during WWII?

America is not here to help poor immigrants . They are full and have to help their citizens first.

Trudeau’s immigration plan destroyed Canadas economy and so many people are suffering.

Why don’t we cool it with the immigration for the foreseeable future.

Yup TDS is alive and well despite most of the US voting public disagreeing with you.
You seem bothered.
Is that true?

Are you ignoring the couple points I shared or is the reality of that fact too real for you to handle?
I guess we'll see how this all plays out. Keep in mind, there will be mid-term elections in 2026 that could be seen as a referendum of Trump's policies and actions. Could there be a "Blue wave" that gives the Dems both houses and keeps Trump in check? We'll see.

The ol' "we'll see" futile comeback when all else has failed.

Was that same view taken when the Dems were frantically trying to keep him from running for office? Did they say "let's not sabotage him and we'll see what the people want"?

Nope.

I mean, it would be great if they actually helped their citizens....but that sounds like ....socialism! And, they US only believes in socialism for big businesses...

And, no Trudeau's immigration did not "destroy" the economy. There is verifiable data that shows the influx of people boosted our GDP. Now, it did increase housing costs and was inflationary on some levels...and deflationary in others....

Actually no.

Both parties have high immigration targets and a pro immigration. Did Toronto grow in the Harper years?..... By how much?.....

Pretty much just as much as it grew under Trudeau, right?

Politics is like a pendulum. It has swung to the right, but it'll come back to the left soon enough. And, if Trump does what he pledged to do, it'll tank the US and global economy pretty damn quick. But, as we all know, his word is worthless...so it is a wait and see. Because, he's unhinged, not very smart and is easily manipulated...So, it will always depend on who speaks to him last before he makes a decision...

Funny...you can't form a few sentences without filling them with prophecy. Lol!

Why do you think it has swung to the right in just 4 years?

btw where's Biden?

I'm thinking not...
Sure, i believe only 60% were native born in what would become the USA in 1787. Many had parents from overseas. Apparently half the Europeans who came before 1776 were indentured servants (thus once they completed their terms of servitude became free). Plus slaves were a big chunk of the population. Apparently 4m people back then at 1790 census.
Thus depending on how one wants to classify an anchor baby, huge chunks of usa were immigrants or their children.
