Is it only me, that find it a bit condescending when members end their reviews with words like: "treat her well ..." or "treat her with respect ...".

What is the message the posters are trying to convene? Does it mean that we don't have to treat the others well and with respect, or what?

Sorry.

Just stating the obvious, IMHO

I don't find it condescending at all, as it only serves as a reminder for the rest of us. Obviously, it doesn't apply to only the particular lady that is being reviewed, but to ALL women, whom we meet in professional as well as personal circles.

I am afraid the word "treat her well and with respect" sounds more like a cliche nowadays.

It's a given guys should treat ladies like a gentleman but will the ladies treat guys well and with respect?

Or just take it for granted?

See I have a problem when I act exactly all of the textbook case like a gentleman, many "mature civilian" women show their appreciation to me.

It is the younger ones and those with my same age group who are mean spirited and make fun on me, saying I'm pansy and a bumper....all at my back near the water cooler.

Yeah, they think I didn't hear a thing and you could tell how surprised they looked when I caught them red handed doing the gossipping.

How pathetic is that when I "treat them with respect", help them cover their bums in the workplace and those girls see me as dependable "brother"?

In some cases:

It applies to a new SP.

When someone is just cutting their chops, and are unsure of contining in the biz, meeting with true gents as opposed to some of the rough trade thats out there will make all the difference.

I find that more often than not, those phrases are used in shill reviews. Whenever I read those my spidey-sense starts tingling.

But he says it as a general rule for all the ladies. And I think he has more than 5 or 6 posts.

If it gets on your nerves, it couldn't possibly be hitting too close to home could it? Like "have a nice day" it's easy to ignore, but nonetheless a worthy thought. Point out the emptiness of the formula phrase if you want, but letting yourself be annoyed by it might just say more about you than about the words.

Two of the great mysteries of this world:

1. Women go for assholes
2. The Liberals keep getting elected

I wonder if these are somehow related?

Bah. I'll just keep treating them with respect and reaping the rewards, a knowledge that I've been nice to the ladies. They'll remember that when they're off farking the arrogant dickheads, I'm sure...

*pinches self*

Ow.
