The envelope, please... So who is included, a proposed "short list" includes Antonin Scalia, Douglas MacArthur, Andrew Jackson. There would probably be a right and left side (outdoors, so not exactly "wings") No NATIVE Americans on the short list. Historical research and reconstruction would be needed since a lot of the history has been erased and/or suppressed. On the right side, more military men including John Bell Hood (though it can be argued that he did more than almost all Confererate generals and most of the Union generals as well, to defeat the rebel cause - well maybe Jubal Early did more) Nathan Bedford Forrest (Arguably one of the bravest men to ever put on a uniform, but also an important right wing social reformer) Phillip Sheridan ("the only good indian is a dead indian") General Sullivan (can't remember the first name off the top of my head) who led the Revolutionary War expedition that systematically destroyed the Iroquois nation homeland. Sgt. John Basilone didn't make the short list, probably because he didn't survive the war like Audie Murphy did, also he wasn't right wing. But the Trumpers will certainly want to include the hometown hero of NY27 - Timothy McVeigh...
All I know is that the more Trump talks about this as his big policy idea for reelection the more chances that the dems can take the house, senate and enough states to redo all GOP gerrymandering.
Andrew Jackson exterminated the Seminole Indians and as President signed into law the Indian Removal Act. Perfect candidate for enshrinement. Donato should get a monument in the middle of Times Square, as America's Greatest President, he deserves it.
History's a bitch..........but it's still history. It's also the shared history of the U.S., Canada, ANZ, etc. in the removal of indigenous peoples.
