Too bad she didn't use her gun. FYI the two were caught and charged with a number of offences. Jail time would be great.

Female cops need to have better martial art skills or they should not be on the street. Cops need certain skills otherwise they have no choice but to go with weapons(not in this case).
What if the cop while down lost her weapon?
They can't afford to be taken down that easily.
NO cop, male or female should go into a two suspect situation solo...the cop is a victim of her own stupidity. She could have hung back until at least one other cruiser arrived..especially when your working in shithole/armpit neighbourhoods. Who trains these people??...or worse yet...who orders them to take on a group by themselves????
Unfortunately ain't gonna happen.
Worst case they miss a shift or two at McDonalds.
The girls family will blame the cop. That's the way it is these days.

That's a huge part of the problem, the parents, DON'T raise them.

They have been charged with assaulting a police officer, obstructing a police officer and trespassing (they weren't students at the school they were in).

I have had a talk with an older generation friend not too long ago and she was telling me about her grand kids and how harder it is these days to discipline them.
I must say that during my youthful years I did get a few lashes here and there and looking back I find it to be completely fine because I understood why I got them. I think I turned out alright.
Nowadays one little smack could get the parents into trouble. Hence the kids talk back a lot more, get angry more because they can and know how lenient the consequences are.

Hardly a year goes by without hearing of a high school student getting stabbed/shot or killed. Last year a student was stabbed to death trying to break up a fight inside a high school. Another two students were shot to death on school grounds watching a fight.
