Kinda rough going back and looking at those reviews knowing what we know now.

What a fascinating and heartbreaking read. I commend her for speaking out when her traffickers are still out there.
As someone who was tricked into this industry many years ago, I didn’t learn about review boards until I switched to agencies but I wonder how many clients knew something was up. To clarify, I wasn’t forced into anything but I certainly was duped and experienced the similar theft at the hands of my ex-pimp and his friends. The clients I met at the seedy Mississauga motel under whatever name I was that week are on here and see my reviews. I wonder if they knew. Eventually I recognized my situation and was able to make a smooth exit after a month or two and join an agency where I would have more stolen from me by my boss than my pimp ever dreamt of. Plenty of independents in this industry that don’t have a positive introduction into this industry.
As for the education comment, I have 5 years of post secondary under my garter belt so f off with that notion already.

I’m very open about my experience because I learned a lot from it. I’m happy to go into details with people I meet, as many clients have listened to my story. It’s not a conversation I initiate because it’s surely going to ruin the fantasy for some, but I’ll share if I’m asked.
Please elaborate. My understanding with pimps is that the woman basically has a quota she must meet every day and must turn over all her earnings to the pimp.
While with agencies, women are free to make their own schedules and come and go as they choose, and keep a portion of the earnings (60% is the standard among most agencies).
How can the owner of the agency steal more money from you than your former pimp?
By grooming me and gaining my trust, then dressing it up to a business deal. I acknowledge how foolish I was to believe someone like that, but two 10K instalments later and his end of the deal never came. I entered this industry vulnerable but even when someone gets away from a pimp, predators are everywhere.
I don’t want to hijack this thread, but as I said I’m an open book to those who ask when we’re together.
Edit: to address the first question, no I never had a quota. But whatever money I earned was at his disposal, not mine. And yes agencies take a 40% cut, what they shouldn’t do is take 20K and put it into “investments” that were never part of the deal.

What happens is these young women fall in love with what ordinary people would easily identify as trashy person (often against the wishes of parents, guardians, teachers, and peers). That blinding 'love' drives them to do whatever crazy thing is requested of them by the trashy person including fucking for money. At some point you have to ask yourself when is enough enough. People take advantage of other's insecurities and vulnerabilities every day. Some end up marrying people they shouldn't, others end up in careers they shouldn't, and a select few end up as semi-voluntary escorts. They enjoy the lifestyle, the drugs, the material goods, the rebelliousness, and the 'love' of the trashy person for as long as it lasts. It begins to dawn on them around age 30 that they've chosen the wrong path, when they see all their former peers starting careers, families, and buying homes because they chose the normal 'boring' life.

I recommend reading Iceberg Slim's first book. In it he highlights his life and how he got into pimping.
I actually heard about this book from Dave Chapelle. It's been sitting on my shelf for 6 months or so. Maybe I'll finally read it.
I remember seeing a redhead "indy" back in the day called 32Ddanielle or something similar, but the timelines don't quite match up with the story. The article put her age around 20 in the late 2000s, but I recall her being much older and it seems her ads still on terb state 26 (if it's the same person). Pretty rare that age would be inflated that much
It really is pretty gross how culture takes certain attributes and celebrates them how they see fit. It's pretty much the norm to use terms like "pimpin" or ho's" with a chuckle like it's a badge of honour. Music, comedy, social media influence, you name it. The sad fact is these folks are one step above the seedy pedophile. They literally beat women for money. One of life's mysteries.
