The principal is claiming that the door was never locked or even closed. The child was acting up, and was told to sit at the Desk in that room.
The investigation is starting to show that there are many inaccuracies in the allegations of the Mother.

This is ridiculous. Not only can schools not touch a student that is acting up, now, if the misbehaving student is Black, they can't even be put in time out.
Which is exactly what this was.

Fucking parents that can't take responsibility for not raising their kids properly.

"“We have become increasingly concerned about deliberately false narratives aimed at destroying the reputations and lives of dedicated educators,” the council’s statement said."

OPC is effectively the union for principals; of course they're going to speak in defense (and pay for the lawyers). Not a complaint, simply a fact of how professional organizations work.

Still wondering what this claim is based on. The most serious accusation being made (publicly) about the kid was he distracts other 6 year olds.

1. It looks like this is a French Immersion school. To nicely put it, these schools are not for every child. More pressure than your average elementary school.
2. To me, it seems like his friend that "hurt himself" really went in to check up on him and gave him the low-down.

We don't know what happened, but I will say back when I was a child I remember teachers calling children stupid idiots, screaming at them, punching the chalkboard, sending them in other rooms by themselves, etc.

I look back at that as an adult and think those teachers went to far. There are other ways to get your point across to children.

You think pointing out a reality is crying? I'm not the one fantasizing about a world where white people can claim victimhood over systemic racism.
Reality is how people try to play the race card way too often when there is an opportunity to make money.

Wimps ! In my day I got head over the head with a pointer.
I still talk about the day my classmate Danny got paddled in front of the whole class, for something he was blamed for but in fact I actually did... I do feel guilty to this day I didn't own up, but our teacher was fucking nuts
So she used the meter stick as a paddle, and she was so furious, she hit him so hard on the ass the thing broke in half! For the rest of the school year she had to use the thing, taped up... we assume the principal wasn't pleased and wouldn't buy her a new one

Interesting info. I used to think Mid town or around that area was mostly rich Jewish and Persian
You might be thinking of Cedarvale or Forest Hill up to Lawrence and Bathurst. There are Persians in North York, Yonge and Sheppard/Finch
The school area in question used to be very WASPy but has alot of new condos and apartments which have brought in alot of diversity

I learned a long time ago not to rush to judgment. Here are 3 recent examples.
1) Smollett
2) Bubba Wallace's "rope"
3) Police throwing woman off a balcony

Parent claimed she sent her son to school with a recording device because he was being targeted. When the CBC and other news organizations asked to listen to the recording, she refused to let them. Want to prove what you're alleging is true? Then let them hear the audio. Otherwise you sound like you're making shit up.

The kid misbehaved in class, and the kid was misbehaving in the office.
To the parents, your kid misbehaves. Stop blaming everyone else and discipline your child.

This is one of those situations where no matter what you say or do, somebody somewhere will be offended.

The kid is black and, apparently, the teacher is also a POC.
