I agree that for the most part we are willing victims and that there is a certain degree of mutual victimisation, but victimisation is not exclusive to willing particiants.
Jim is just a s**t disturber who has now moved from dancers to SP's and I'm sure in his own warped mind, this is how he justifies his own participation in the hobby...as the victim.

I have to agree with you there , although being an armchair quarterback( or shrink ) is a tried and true way of avoiding introspection .Anya said:

I am confused on how a john can be a victim considering he/she usually is the one to initiate the contact for sexual favours.
I've never had an mp or sp come to my door asking if i wanted to have sex for money.
I guess most john's only feel victimized after they have been ripped off in their own opinion.
The rule has always been 'caveat emptor' and remains the same.
From my personal experience i have felt victimized by being overcharge or intimidated into paying for services that i didnt necessarily want going into a situation but that doesnt justify me crying foul about a service i sought out in the first place.

A major failing of most feminist ideology is its dumb, ungenerous stereotyping of men as tyrants and abusers, when in fact men are tormented by women's flirtatiousness and hemming and hawing, their manipulations and changeableness, their humiliating rejections. Cock teasing is a universal reality. It is part of women's merciless testing and cold-eyed comparison shopping for potential mates.
With the exception of women who are forced into the industry due to some sort of coercive arrangement, I don't think the concern is that sex workers themselves are being victimized. Certainly, the upper tier MPAs/SPs discussed on this board are doing what they do because they want to, and it proves very lucrative for them. The concern of many feminists centres on the implications of sex work for women in general, as it's said to reinforce the social construction of women as sex objects or even sexual commodities.
Think about what we do on this board. Many of us apply numerical ratings to women, evaluating them based on patriarchal standards of female beauty, how well they serve us sexually, etc. This could be construed as at least somewhat dehumanizing or objectifying when we think about it. And I'm by no means flaming anyone on this board when I write this, as I'm just as guilty of it as anyone! Just trying to step back and see the other side of the argument.
