I saw her once at the CNE, probably around 1977. She was the headliner, but in Toronto, she didn't want to follow The Band, with whom she was touring.

My fave Linda album, by far, is Hasten Down the Wind. She was absolutely gorgeous. It's impossible to cast somebody as beautiful she was, but Selena does seem to be the appropriate choice.

The Band stopped touring in 1976. I couldn't find any record of The Band nor Linda Ronstadt ever touring together, nor playing at CNE stadium, as separate acts.
