Included one t-34, 3 T-14 (same as the last three years, only 3 of 5 delivered in 2015 that still run), no Armata based IFV or SPG, no Pantsir, 8 S-400, no s_500.
Air show was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Interesting there were no T-80 series tanks rolled out either.
What are those overhead in the image? What exact time was that satellite image taken? I watched some of it live and it was cloudy.

Amazing that the sun got through those clouds enough to show shadows on the marchers in the parade isn't it?
Time of satellite shot was 10:59 MSK.
This shot shows the parade bathed in sunlight, yet black clouds cover the sky in a Russian released video.
Here are undoctored pictures.
Sheremetyevo Airport reported 10 km visibility with clouds at 518 meters at 8:00am then lifting to 1524 meters by noon, maximum wind speed was 32 kmh or 19 mph..
Russian regulations state the minimum cieling to fly for the parade is 500 meters.
Hour by hour.

Forum rules prohibit posting anything that might out a forum member so I can't name names. But mama's "couch politician" :geek:message to her soldier son seems crystal clear. Russia's propaganda army is the best in the world!

It's also crystal clear that the brainwashing has been very meth-odical.

I don't think you'll ever see a bigger weirdness: Russian Orthodox Churchleaders blessing a rocket called Satan.
Pretty sure Satan is the NATO name for the missile.

he later version, the R-36M was produced under the GRAU designations 15A14 and 15A18 and was given the NATO reporting name SS-18 Satan.

I guess I am not as senile as I fear dag nabbit.

Good thing the Church Lady never worked for Norad.
Chair Force general: What is that missile heading for us.
Church Lady. Ohhh I donno, could it be... could it be SATAN! Well isn't tha.... Boom!

During WWII all the Japanese planes had official nicknames by 'merica like the
which had the allied reporting name Kate, although sadly it looks nothing like Kate Micucci.

I had asked my friend to find out how far they go when they put them in storage, do they just park them or do they remove all the sensitive equipment and shrink wrap air entry areas like the US does.
One other thing he did mention was in that Somalia in 1992 some of the MI 8 Russian supplied helicopters still had vaccuum tubes in some electronic systems.
Talked to my friend on the weekend, apparently when newer Russian tanks are stored they are stored in covered areas, others are stripped down and wiring harnesses and electroinic equipment are removed and stored in warehouses to avoid rodent damage.
The hulls are left outside to the elements, some with engines and some without, some with the turrets, others without.
Problem is that when they went to one of the warehouses to retrieve some engine harnesses to get ready for the parade, most of the crates were empty.
Many had multiple seal leaks, so engine, transmission and final drives were empty and siezed from sitting woithout fluids.

Crates were empty. Nice.

Problem is like tanks, cars need to be used once in a while for reasons.
That is why when buying a super car, it's better to get one with a modest amount of mileage rather than one owned by a garage queen. Or so that is what car people say, it isn't my field.

I wonder of those tanks in storage, how many could they make run. If people are stealing everything and selling it, and fuck, in the US some renters will strip the copper from the wiring if they figure they are going to get the boot, I doubt it would be many.
