It seems NATO is almost trying to drag it out as long as it can, after the initial rush of equipment, anti tank and anti air it's been drips and drabs. Just enough for Ukraine to keep going but not enough to end it. 4 months ago they should have taken a bunch of Ukrainian reservists, give them surplus equipment, they would be viable just about now and a 100 extra equivalent of BTGs with western equipment would turn the tide... unless Poutine takes the risk and DoW+ full mob. [And it's probably a risk as he hasen't done it yet for reasons] Which will probably happen anyway. At least have the thing end quickly one way or another, pull off that band-aid. The US is sitting on a pant load of surplus gear that is actually maintained.

Granted the US and the allies with better elbows should have put in some trip wire troops on the frontiers before he invaded. 99% sure he would have backed down with a stern warning backed by bodies on the ground. If not, go in, wipe them away keep Ukraine free, and again end it quick.

That or just let them have it.

Also if we are going to pussy foot and let things drag out, where are the moves to pump more oil and gas out of the ground of civilized nations like Oh I donno.... Sata.. I mean Canada. Well isn't that special.
For that matter maybe I missed it but I don't seem any attempts to ramp up production of weapons in the west. US gave away 1/3 of it's Javelin inventory you would figure there would be a push to produce as many and ASAP to replace what we gave and more important pass on more. Ditty for other systems.

Javs are obsolete in NATO. There's Perun video on this.

The rest I don't know. My Ukrainian ex reg / current social media buddy says her brother and his unit are waiting for equipment. But I can't figure it out either.

I thought it was stingers that were obsolete.
The Javs seem to be pretty good, dead is dead. Can't really do much better. They want more of them, we should be getting the factories in production.
Even so as someone [maybe Perun] pointed out, it isn't as if the US isn't overflowing with other anti tank assets both ground and air based that they could not spare some more.

Except when Putin tries a bitzkrieg without artillery backup, then javelins are great for taking out Russian tanks and military vehicles.
Now its long range artillery from NATO vs a wall of old school artillery that's starting to run out of shells.

I should go check that then and make sure I didn't get confused.
